Hey, I have a question. Do you help brands with their amazon advertising if their brand is sold by third party sellers like retialers or do the brands usually sell on amazon themselves? I can see on amazon that some of the brands that have a sponsored brand banner are sold by 5+ sellers. Why would the brand owner want you to spend money on ads if their retailers were making all the sales?

Sticky question here, but yes I do have some clients in this situation. Although in most cases, the brand gives exclusive rights to one third party seller to sell on Amazon. Then they just sit back and supply the seller with big PO. But once 3+ sellers jump onto one listing, something is wrong. That means the retailer has lost control and the buy box is likely changing hands a lot and no one has exclusive rights, these are stituations I stay away from. Unfortunately not, you need at least 3 unique ASIN to make one of these

Hey Lucas, when you mention testing different campaigns, would it work to run campaigns with the same keyword sets simultaneously, making changes to copy/images between campaigns? Or would bidding on the same keywords create inefficiencies? Ultimately wondering the setup required to most efficiently test different changes.

Yes you can do this and A/B split test for a month but then eventually you only want one campaign running

Those campaigns are pretty expensive in my experience. It really depends on your long term strategy in terms of branding , sales strategy (offensive vs defensive) and of course budget

Lucas, how do you compare the CPC in SC and in AMS for the exact same ad? ...cause $5-10 CPC is quite expensive.

When it comes to Headlines Ads in SC vs AMS I see that older campaigns have cheaper CPC. I think it's worth it to test them in both and then just react to the data.

What do you think about overbidding for a key term to scare everyone else away? Example amazon says the bid should be $1.50 but i bid 1$1,000.

Bidding is an auction system. So if you bid $1,000 you will only pay a little more than the second highest bid. But be careful, I have seen some people try this, and if someone else is doing the same thing, you could in fact pay over $900 for one click.
