Greetings from germany. 242 mph... That is 389,46 kph. Only a handful of cars could do that. And here in germany, on the Autobahn, this would be legal. Yes, the Autobahn (german highway) has parts without speed limit. And there it would be legal. BUT, a Bugatti at that speed, can drive this fast for about 20 minutes. Then the tank is empty. AND what they don't tell you, AFTER you drove over 300 kph, you have to make a checkup at your dealer's workshop. You can check that, this term is in the manual. IF you don't do a check in a fair ammount of time after that speed, you losse your waranty.

Not only that, but those expensive tires also have to be replaced. Your next stop would be at a gas station, because that tank is empty. The Hell Cat burns 1 1/2 gallons per minute under full throttle condition, and it is barely a 200 mph car, on a good day.

My solar is $412 per month (for another 4 years anyway…) and covers my heating, cooling, and all electricity needs. It’s not for everyone but it works for my situation. Especially since I’m saving about $210 a month in gas compared to my old car. Edit: 14¢. So, a little more than. $80.

The actual costs are $10,500 for the Tesla Panels (after the tax rebate) and $20,000 for the Tesla Battery Pack. But I don't even have that kind of cash laying around. PG&E 9the biggest utility in California) pays new solar panel owners 2 to 4 cents per KWH. I pay PG&E 35 to 52 cents per KWH for electricity. (EV owners pay PG&E 53 cents for peak hours charging and about 23 cents for off peak charging. So they would have to use 133,000 KWH to beak even to the Tesla panels and packs if they charge at night. They would have to drive 398,000 mile to beak even, assuming 3 miles per KWH.)

Hey Scotty, there's no enforcement in south Floriduh for traffic issues or unsafely modified vehicles. A third of the pickup trucks here are "lifted" to the point (illegally) where their bumper is right about head level of other drivers in their vehicles. They're death machines on the road, but no enforcement of illegal modifications. I actually saw a contractor's truck on the road with 4" chrome spikes sticking out from the front and rear bumpers. Floriduh, the Free-For_All state.

It had nothing to do with the mention of suicide that triggered the flight attendant. It was the mention of a veteran. A school in Canada had asked visiting soldiers to not appear in uniform because supposedly some of the students were from places that have had conflicts and were not comfortable. Do you think that the technology has improved any in 30 years? Personal computers didn't become "a thing" until 40 years ago, and they were clunky boxes that gave you time to get a cup of coffee while it was booting up. You connected to the internet with a dial-up modem that maxed out at 36k baud rate. There is 1,024k in a meg, so figure out what you could with that speed compared to today's gigabyte speeds.

I had to get my license renewed at Penn dot. There were quite a few people ahead of me gettingpicture taken. That poor worker had to repeat himself multiple times to every person before him. "Press 1 for english", "press next", "look at the white dot".... afew others. ALL instructions got repeated at least 3 times before people got it right. Except 1 older gentleman. He took 7+ times to be told the same info. How are all these people who can't even do super simple tasks allowed to be on the road in 2700+lbs of moving death? If you don't have the attention span or mental acuity to press 1 the first time you are told to do so......

The real reality is, an airplane is private property, they do have to abide by certain laws especially ADA, etc. But if they find something offensive, they are absolutely within their right to tell you to leave. It's just like your house, it's your private property, you can tell anyone (who doesn't live there, or has a lease) to leave. You can absolutely wear what you want on public property. If you want to walk into the courthouse with a shirt that reads "F these judges!" well, you can. But on private property, it's up to their discretion.

While I agree, here's the issue: Suicide needs to be discussed outside of the view of everyone else. Why, because if you talk about it out in the open where everyone can see it, this is the same as promoting the idea. And the more your promote something, the more you get of that thing. If it's on people's minds more, you will get more of it. If people don't know it's an option until it's brought up, well, that's a new option for them. If it's increasing, then science and government need to keep records, have transparency, and help those who need help, quietly.
