After watching many of these videos I've seen commenters complain about the lack of respect for their troopers and yet some commenters here have shown nothing but disrespect for the American military officers visiting today.

From what I’ve seen from the comments, the disrespect is going both ways. Not sure why you’re complaining. Would be different if we actually saw Brits disrespecting American military, like we see in these videos day in, day out.

It happens in America too. Only at special locations, the civilian or even the base commander (CO) pays if they don't follow protocol. Must say the two lads in karkhi looked lovely and neat, very very smart indeed. The red bands topping of their hats very nicely. So if the others were US military why are they in air force colours (sort of air force blue colour uniforms) rather than army uniforms. Are you sure they were US military, judging by the number of ''medals'' they're more like military brass from Russia, N Korea or some of the smaller African nations where medals are plastered everywhere there's space. Does anyone know what they are because the hat bands - which according to a US website mean they are probably either chemical warfare (bl00dy hope the website is inaccurate) or finance - are distinctive.

Those craft Americans and the 6ft 5” security team members escorting . But the man you should noticed was the old guy in the flat cap. Not even harden warriors would cross the road without an armed escort in London & they probably had more firepower to hand than the horse guards. But no chances taken as they would have to wait 50 minuets for a response and given a crime reference number. Nice to see people enjoying themselves

@FrenchmansFlats514 ай бұрын
Not exactly. Gen. George received two combat infantry badges and a purple heart, which means he saw combat twice and was wounded in combat. one for kuwait 1991 as a young company lieutenant and the other in 2004 iraq as a batallion commander, both in the 101st Airborne Division. He also has a senior parachutist badge which means he jumped out of an airplane >30 times.
