That ain't architecture, man. It just doesn't deserve the title. Whacky-smacky windows all over the place, so many gables you could re-shoot Gone with the Wind, postage-stamp yards, garage snouts sticking out towards the street, and the inevitable vinyl siding. It would deserve its own video. There are so many varied styles contractors have devised to load our nation with nearly-worthless homes which are almost certainly barely fit to be called houses.

All of these American style architectural examples are pretty old, newer achitectural styles in the US also feel as simple or boring as the European ones shown here, in fact old European architectural styles are simply immaculate and look like they're from another world, like cathedrals, churchs, old parliament or royal buildings or even just simple train stations. Architecture, in both the US and Europe, just got staler and staler as time passed for a number of reasons, because of it was easier, faster and cheaper to make, one example being brutalist, though as someone who actualy likes brutalism, it's good when done right, and straight up boring/depressing when it's simple and featureless. Brutalism with all these peculiar angles and shapes on these massive megastructures make them feel otherworldly, another reality, walking in the great tall interiors of buildings like this, whether they be government or medical centers, feels like something, it's hard to explain. Cities just look good with all these different types of architecture in these tall structures together, brutalism, modernism, gothic, etc. Not just one singular monotone type of architecture, and this doesn't just apply to brutalism. All of them have ugly and nice sides.

I wouldn’t say it’s of direct fault of the end of war, more the evolution of corporate culture, especially in the 90’s onwards when Reagan gave money to companies that had plenty already, and so the order of the day was “inoffensive” I believe hints of this could be seen much before the 90’s though, most big “professional” companies want to be perceived as serious, no matter the time frame No, im not a commie, I know how I sound though
