For the second story, you stopped about half way. They went on trip to Vegas and she was barely noticed he was there. She dipped on him while he was showering, left him on read. She dipped on him while in museums. They were cuddling, and shortly after he states that that's he wants more of.... She rolls over, scoots away. That woman does not want him. She doesn't want him to be Miles either, she just wants the financial cushion and the things she planned with Miles to happen. He needs to get out of there asap.

She wasn't ready to start dating again but she probably thought she was ready she probably also had friends encouraging her to "get back out there" and "don't dwell on it".
