I grew up on an orchard- I have spent more private time with trees than with people. I moved from the orchard to the city and to the forest as an adult. Trees are so healing for me to live around. I work much better with a practice (spell or ritual) that I create myself. Cooking is also very magical to me... the herbs used to flavor food, the essential oils (food safe) I use in my dish soap, floor wash, vinegar counter cleaners....

14:00 my dad practiced the craft in his lifetime yet we lived in a very non religious household, I still find myself tripping over words and meaning while I talk with family members about my love for crystals for an instance, trying to prove that “it is less of the magic” for me even tho I use them daily within my craft. it’s interesting how we sometimes do that, we feel awkward about something that makes us excited, and we feel vulnerability when we rumble on about it. I really appreciate that you’ve talked about this. 🌼

The first question was a cool one. I always like to tell baby witches that making mistakes, laughing when these things happen, the spirits like laughter. It does not need to be super serious. It took me 20 years to figure that out.

I saw the title and clicked so fast lol. If youre struggling to visualize, it might help to make a story, like: "a beam of purple light sooths from my third eye" or something like that, like youre reading the book and picturing the scene. I consider myself a baby witch so...this was super helpful, thanks so much, your videos bring so much light into my day

4:35 For anyone else struggling with visualization, might I offer another tip?? It kind of builds on what Annie said about externalizing your intentions: Don't be afraid to utilize EXTERNAL visuals to help set and guide your intentions for a spell. Mood/vision boards can be very powerful!!! You can make them IRL (collages made from magazine cut-outs, doodles, poetry or mantras that you've read or written yourself, even found objects) as well as digitally. Pinterest is hugely helpful for creating digital mood boards or vision boards, and it's FREE... aaand you can even carry your "visualized" intentions around with you in your pocket (ie. your cell phone)! These methods of external visualization can be extremely useful for those who struggle to conjure compelling imagery in their mind's eye.

Im really glad that you acknowledged us witches who live in tropical climates! Im a practitioner from the Southeast Asia region and it is indeed difficult to find the herbs that you often use in your videos. However, that didnt stop me from diving into herbalism, like you said! I still get some form of wisdom and ways to use the flowers and herbs that grow in my area, just by watching your videos❤️

I've always had a love and feel a deep connection to mother earth. As a teenager, I sorta looked into Wicca but always put it as a teenager seeking belonging. As an adult I've mostly classified myself as a follower of CHRIST and it definitely has helped with my sobriety the past 8 yrs. Yet recently this year I just feel like I can't learn enough about herbs, growing them, what medicinal uses they have....and thats when I came upon your channel in late July 2020. Whatever I do choose to practice, I would love to learn more about herbs and their properties. You have a wonderful calming way of teaching and I think many looking for answers in herbiology would learn a lot from you so I encourage you to do it. Im now 45 yrs old (not a teenager anymore) but still searching for a belonging! Can't wait to see what you share with us next!

The first Question, my opinion of course, I would recommend studying as to who and why you are casting a spell as you must realize that you are drawing into the power of mighty forces and if you “do it” just to test these forces, you could harm yourself and or another person therefore reading and knowing the basics primarily would be safe and wise, but I digress 😊 I hope this helps someone beginning on their path, many blessings 💜

Yes please do teach us more about herbalism! You make it feel so natural and accessible. I have looked at online courses but the financial aspect and impersonal feel to it just makes it feel out of reach. If you were to impart some of your knowledge I truly believe it would guide and inspire so many of us to live a healthier and more connected lifestyle.

speaking about herbalism. i am thinking of going into green witchcraft (i'm a beginner as of now, so basically still learning everything about everything before settling on a specific practice) and my problem is that all the information i get about witchcraft and herbalism isn't even in my native language (which isn't English), let alone not applicable on the kind of herbs that grow in my country. what i found helpful is to find an encyclopedia-like book (i have no idea what they are called in English but i hope you understand what i'm getting at) on the region you live in since it usually lists all the herbs, trees and mushrooms you can find in you area. then you are free to google all the magickal and/or medicinal properties of the herbs. plus you can grow a lot of them in a pot, even if you don't have a yard. i'm currently a proud mom of indoor lavender and sage
