Hi Elzani- I've been quietly watching for a while. I'm a nearly recovered anorexia sufferer. I see so many of my past experiences in what you're saying too. Firstly, I really appreciate you putting your story out there, the video of your hospital experience was very powerful, better than any published documentary I've seen. As a fellow recoveree, I just wanted to tell you that my AN brain continues to whisper lies to me, especially about exercise which you talked about, and also eating, obviously. Please don't start any aerobic exercising yet. I don't know what your body looked like before you were ill, but looking at your siblings, your body probably wants to find its natural place around something where they are. Maybe do something slower like a mild walk, yoga etc, cocoon your body, allow it to rest in every way. Please, if you are not already, please seek some regular professional help to strengthen your recovery. Your positivity is great and will continue to help you on your way to fully getting your life back. Life is great! Being alive is great! Merry Christmas.

I have been watching videos on this channel since the beginning of 2019 and I finally have the courage to comment today. I noticed that I had an eating disorder since November 2018. My parents found out that I’d been throwing away my food in mid 2019, and that I only weighed 34kg at the height of 170cm. I was unimaginably weak. As a 12 year old I was too scared and begged for the opportunity to self-recover at home, at the same time I started watching motivational contents on KZbin. I found Elzani’s videos the most encouraging and comforting, they really eased my negative emotions during my dad’s strict recovery procedure. Really. I do know how grateful I should be at this point where I am almost all healthy again. I am even more glad to see how much she has improved and I genuinely admire her motivation. Thanks so very much!! I don’t know how much amazingness of life I would miss if she wasn’t there to help us. Additionally if you’re reading this and have similar problems as me, I strongly suggest never avoid seeing doctors and psychiatrists like me. I am although physically better, my mental state is very unstable that I would probably relapse any time. Not very enjoyable really.

You show us how to be happy, how to live and experience things from a different perspective! You are AMAZING! Elzani, your spirit is incredible and so inspiring 😊. I’m a 42 yr old mum of 3 but your film was, in many ways, like holding up a mirror to a younger me. I was bulimic back then and although finding love helped me conquer food issues, I only recently discovered why I find parts of ‘normal’ life so hard; just before Xmas, I received the diagnosis that I’m autistic. Reading about the female presentation of ASD made so much sense to me that I pursued an assessment. I only mention it as it might be something you’d like to look in to. Sending you love and hope for continued recovery and peace to find your true self xxx

WE are the ones who should thank YOU Elzani, for sharing your story and inspire us! I am especially thankful for that disclaimer of yours when you said that eating disorder doesn't have to do with weight or the other way around, I am concidered being overweight due to another illness called metabolic syndrom but am still bulimic, and I've also been dealing with anorexia on and off before the metabolic syndrome appeared physically, but since I knew nothing about it I was put into Stockholms biggest eating disorders unit in which they suspected this other disease and had me tested - and they were right. That means that I will have to fight daily to get to a healthy BMI whilst fighting the eating disorder at the same time. And just based on my physical apperance some people say that I am lying - but when people such as yourself who's hit rock bottom ionce, worked hard on getting better, and still can be very understanding towards others with other types of eating disorders that really makes a huge difference in the long run!! And you know what? Your videos inspire me to get better sooo so much, because you show both sides of the illness and at the same time a strong will to get better although it's hard at times. And please pay no attention to people who's been picking on you in various ways for that hospital video, there will always be stupid people around. And to show you my gratitude, I am actually sending you a belated christmas gift/birthday present! It's meant to be both a huge thank you, an ecouragement and a nice treat at the same time. I don't know you personally, yet I feel sooo proud of you! And I am looking forward to be following you and your family on your new channel as well! Massive hugs to you Elzani, you're amazing!

You are so lucky to have such a loving and supportive family. It is very apparent that they truly care and love you. And you them. Way back in the late 60's and early 70's I suffered from anorexia but back then I'm not sure it had a name. (Maybe it did but I just did not know about it.) I was very lucky because mine never got as severe as yours. Somewhere along the way I learned it was ok to eat. I am so grateful I did and I'm very happy for you and your recovery. Always remember, YOU MATTER. God bless you and your family. Happy New Year.

Elzani, I just really need to thank you. For everything. I’m struggling with my recovery at the moment and every time I eat I feel so disgusted in myself and so stressed out. So, every time I eat, I watch your videos. Knowing that you struggle with this disorder but are able to conquer so many of your fears everyday and even go for higher calorie options and just eat what you like is so inspiring. Watching you do so well is your recovery has pushed me and so many others forward to do well in theirs. Please continue making your videos and inspiring people everyday, as well as encouraging yourself to push forward because you really do deserve the absolute best.
