Thanks for the visit to my country and congratulations on the great work! It was cool to watch the video as I've lived in São Paulo for 6 years, studied at this same university, USP (and I even know the places where those scenes were filmed!) and recognized practically all of the places you showed. Also, I've been learning Mandarin for a few weeks, since I found your channel. It's also super fun! Really here in Brazil we get to know almost nothing about China (actually most people hear only crazy stereotypes). So I wait for knowing better the connections between our countries!

@Fil.D Do you speak Mandarin or Portuguese? Your comment is full of half truths and inaccuracies. Useful isn't made in heaven. Agro doesn't create near the jobs that industry does. China hollowed out Brazilian industry to a large degree. Ad hominem is used when you know you lost the debate. Overly emotional and intellectually dishonest. Unfortunately this is normal for wumao trolls. 1.5 billion? Lol. And you criticize others? Where did that extra 100 million plus come from? You added more than the population of Germany because you exaggerate and are dishonest.

Good work, Andy. Thank you. Chinese people had spread all over the world, looking for the elusive greener pasture. Brazil is not only green thanks to the Amazon rain forest, but is a green pasture for many foreigners. But Chinese people tend to make the best of what they have, or where they landed at. I watched a video about Chinese people in Chile. They were there for generations too. And being Chinese, food is invariably top of mind for them. Now they have dishes born out of indigenous Chilean and Chinese style of dishes. And the Chinese there actually become flamboyant like the Chileans !

Excellent video, Andy. Perhaps you could make a video about Chinese-Americans, which would be most interesting, considering how the US views China. The U.S. Census estimated that, as of 2022, the population of Chinese Americans alone or in combination to be 5,465,428, including 4,258,198 who were Chinese alone, and 1,207,230 who were part Chinese. I think the former figure includes people born in China or in other countries of the Chinese diaspora, but who are naturalized American citizens.

China needs to send more journalists and representatives to Brazil. What we know about China comes from CNN or Reuters news, almost like a monopoly. I can assure you that most Brazilians are very interested in knowing the Chinese perspective. China needs to have a stronger voice in Brazil.

Brazil and China share many common interests, and it begins, I believe, with the fact that their economies are complementary, so it's a win-win game in a HUGE bilateral trade. In addition, they are both the giants of their regions but have never been imperialists, the so usual type that invades the neighbors violently.
