14:26 nice explanation about how if we are not careful instead 2*w/l the aspect ratio of shared transistor or multipliers could become w/(4*l).

Fingers are like your hand fingers which cannot be seperated. Multipliers can be separated and are very useful in matching.

possible combinations vs application 1. Only multipliers - matching 2. Only fingers - matching not required capacitance is reduced 3 multiplier and finger combination - matching, capacitance, area tradeoff

can you make a video for checking drain and gate fingers so that to analyze the performance of FET
@analoglayoutdesign23422 жыл бұрын
Ok...for high speed performance you mean?

what about the ron resistor? does ron resistor increase if i increase the the number of finger? in cadence i saw if i only increase the number of finger, ron resistor doesn't reduce, and increase slidly. thanks

Current mirror transistors are used as current sources.. and not as switch.. so ON resistance does not come into picture.. output resistance of the current source is important…

Is resistance remains constant? For Multiplier and fingers?
@analoglayoutdesign23424 жыл бұрын
yes..but contact resistance may vary as per the layout
