My personal theory is that this is called Euclid exactly because of the parallels in euclidean parallelism (especially the fifth postulate with two parallel lines that are not perfectly straight will meet at one point if they go on indefinitely). This song reaches out within itself as you mentioned but also melodically within their discography, lyrically with several different songs and thematically with the whole storytelling and lore they have from the start. It all ties a neat bow in all of ST’s themes. And with all the other scientific references they use across ll albums I’m sure Vessel is that big of a nerd and did it intentionally lmao The concept itself it’s insane to pull off but to do it with a song like this, good lord. This is so special.

When I first heard this song, it quite literally brought me to my knees. The crushing emotional weight of Sleep Token's discography was lifted from my shoulders, if just for a moment. They have always woven lyrical and melodic callbacks into their music, and the three masterpiece albums are fully tied together here. This song is an acceptance of the wounds on your soul. An acknowledgement that despite how bad it has always hurt, it was no accident. An acknowledgement that there is still hope, despite the flood. I have never felt anything like it before, and I have felt it ever since. When I hear this song, I know it's going to be okay. Worship.

Having been listening to Sleep Token since before Sundowning, when this song came up, I was making a coffee in my kitchen. By the end, I was just standing there with a tear rolling down my cheek. Not sobbing or weeping, but just... a couple tears while I disassociated. I hadn't been moved that much since Sleep Token - Bloodsport (from the room below) Sundowning starts with "The Night Does Not Belong to God" and he mirrors that in Euclid with "The Night Belongs to You" then going to "The whites of your eyes turn black in the low light. In turning (interning) divine, we tangle endlessly."
