Wow Al, Gina, livi, Well here in Cali, I'm starting my seeds outside. I have had a garden for the last 3 years. I love growing food that we eat. I grow enough to share with family and some friends. We have an orange tree and wow an over abundance of oranges and now we have the tree blooming. Well back to my garden. I'm growing cucumbers, straight neck squash, zucchini, carrots, onions(long green and red round) celery, tomatoes all kinds including heirloom, I know there is more I just can't remember them all. I cant believe yall got that much snow just overnight. Yall have a blessed day. I love your videos. Keep them coming. Love from California.

Friendly comment; it's been a few years since I plowed some serious snow, but you're making real hard work of that. Always taught, first clear the road (so drive into the >); once you have cleared to where you need to go, you then go back and use your blade angles to move the snow to the side, you should never be fighting the snow, it can cause serious damage to your truck chassis.

In Minnesota our family cross country skied every winter and we had to wax our skis every time we went out with varying types of wax suited to the nature of the snow. For instance, what you had there today was klister snow, a very wet, heavy snow. The lighter the snow, the harder the wax. The hard wax came in shallow tins like shoe polish but klister was in a tube like toothpaste! Great for snowball fights, too! I had two brothers, there were no snow cupcakes in my life!

No not those names but heavy snows like yours would be called sapling benders an inch or two were called onion snows. We have not got a plowable snow here all winter. I did not see a snow man anywhere but then again kids don't go out and play much any more. Gina so glad to see you are much more comfortable in front of the camera you do so well.

Al, a few information points. In NEC, cords are not allowed to be run through walls, floors, ceilings, windows or doors. Includes extension cords. Also, cords used outdoor should be sunlight resistant. Most are for indoor use. When using the Kubota, slightly tilt bucket up, and push the handle all the way forward to position for float function. If you want more control of bucket while pushing, slow the engine down. Much easier to control. Respectfully, Kevin.

Hi, love watching these videos even though I am not a homesteader just watched you doing our snow ploughing and I think it might be a good idea to use what we would call jockey wheels on the plough instead of those height-adjustable feet they seem to dig into the surface. You use clean snow, milk, sugar and a little vanilla flavoring, mix it to an ice cream consistency. It is delicious and if you want you can use sweetened condensed milk in place of the sugar. You can also put some chocolate syrup on it. You should try it! Whenever we know it is gonna snow we set out a bowl to catch snow.

It's usually the same way here in West Virginia. We've had a few seventy degree days and then a couple of fifty degree ones. We're in the South Western side and in a valley so we just get the cooler temperatures. We have the usual mud and algae, not snow. Our Spring weather usually teases us until May. I love the cooler temperatures though since there are less pests then. We won't be able to garden here since we live on rented land and have restrictions on what we can have outside. I'm hoping we move to our own property but some work needs to be completed before we can live there.
