Have had an Ampeg B-108 for years. Small enough for my apartment, yet large enough for acoustic gigs. Headphone out, aux in, it's all I really need. Has angled back to act as a floor monitor. Well happy.

Not bad. Would prefer to hear these with old school passive P and Jazz basses.

Yeah. I’m clueless about the 500w. How do you judge the “classic” tone when it’s being played through with such a daft bass - especially at the wrong end of the neck.

There are indeed some classic tones in there in these amps. With that Warwick bass, could imagine doing some Beatles type tracks. The fuzz channel is a great extra. Lovin’ the Micro VR too.

the side amps sounded awesome. but when you did the demo on the middle one there was a bit too much fiddling with the eq and and the player was changing playing styles a bit too quickly to get a good idea of what it can do. The jam at the end using the red amp was a lot better. It's got the goods. Great job guys.

I live the sound of the 112. Would it be loud enough to play with a rock drummer?
@ni4853 жыл бұрын
I haven't played this particular amp, but I would say no. Not on its own. I've had two different modern 100watt 12" combos, a fender rumble and an acoustic b100c, and neither was quite enough with rock drummer and guitarist. 200 watts would get pretty close, maybe even plenty depending on how loud band is, and how much low end you want in your tone. But keep in mind these, as well as most other combos, don't give you the full watts without an external speaker added. Example: this rb15 is 200 watts. But that's at 4 ohms with another speaker hooked up. On its own, it's 8 ohms, and it's probably closer to 130 or so. The 500 watt 210 by itself is probably 300-350 watts.
@lewiswilliams15843 жыл бұрын

How does the rocket bass 210 compare the the ba210v2? which I'm guessing is no longer on the market?
@johncollins5552 Жыл бұрын
The ba series weigh 2 or 3 times as much as the new range. Some people think the extra weight helps give a heavier sound and there is something to be said for that extra mass but you have to consider will you just leave it in one place e.g. a studio or rehearsal space or of you will be moving it constantly up and down stairs to gigs etc.

Are you sure your DI is not pre-EQ? I can't hear any difference in the direct out sound whilst Nathan is twiddling. (Edit - Ampeg say it's post, so must be my ears.)

DI is post-EQ and post effects loop per the circuit block diagram in the User Manual, which covers all RB models in the range.

Not as good as Victor Wooten. I play bass and guitar but I dislike lead bass. Instruments have a place in music. I'm a roots player on bass, less is more. Just my thoughts. Guitarists want to play faster and faster and bass player want to play lead. Modern music is interesting to say the least. The Ampeg amp sounds great. I've been using the Ampeg BA 210V. Works excellent for most gigs. Los Angeles
