Back in 1991 I was doing demo clinics for Yamaha Australia who also distributed Marshall here, and for the release of the JCM900 series, we had Geoff Whitehorn join us for a national clinic tour. I was lucky enough to travel around with that gentleman and hear him play every night! He had so many great stories about working with Paul Rodgers and Bad Company and various others. Fantastic player and all round great guy, lovely to hear him mentioned!

I have been drooling for the blues breaker for years but the old pedals had just gotten too expensive. I was so excited that I just bought the whole set from Andertons! I got all 4 for the half the price of what original blues breakers are going for here in the US! Love you guys! Andertons is becoming my go to shop for gear. Doesn't matter that you guys are across the pond from me. The Andertons crew feels like family. So when I buy from you I'm supporting friends. Thank you. :)

@user-dc8vm2ik3d That's a complicated question bud, I will use the bluesbreaker as an example. They have been artificially inflated because of boomers, individuals who own companies like JHS for example could buy alot of original collectable pedals sit on them and sell their own verson. So an original issue between £300-750 depending on condition. The blues breaker 2, that was the llast reissue looked different so sells for like £70 used. It's honestly overpriced it's a transparent drive that needs a boost pedal to get the most out of or to replicate famous tones. Is it good? Yeah. Is it better than other cheaper drive pedals? No, not even nearly.

@@JosePineda-jn8jk Most of the prices dropped to just a little ridiculous, instead of extremely ridiculous. There still folks trying to get near $1,000, but most dropped to $500 or less, I think because they were reissuing them. There are just so many better options of the Bluesbreaker circuit, for $200 or less, from many great builders.

From whence some kind dude produced aforementioned Guv'nor. Also no test rooms in the back! Ohno! You had to bring your best chops and get plugged into an amp in the middle of the shop. My Guv'nor story is that a mate of mine joined Carcass just before they recorded Swansong. He was backstage waiting to play his first gig with them in the USA, and when he walks out for the first number, someone had nicked his brand new pedal. He's still playing, so I reckon he'd be well chuffed that they've been re-released. I'm deffo gonna get myself one and use it as a preamp/pedal platform.

Re:changes in components and dial settings. Depending on the type of pot, you could get wear on the wiper and it would generally require the pot to be turned up a bit more to compensate for that. It would take a fair amount of twiddling to cause that in this kind of device. I have only seen it really be an issue in actuated pots that move around a lot (position indicators).

Got my Squier Strat for Christmas in ‘93 and always felt that I lacked gain for the grunge tunes I wanted to play. The family went to from Norway to London and Denmark Street on holiday in ‘94 (my first time) and I got a DriveMaster, a used late 60s Colorsound Wah, a set of strings and a bottleneck slide (and some Sega Megadrive games). My Strat couldn’t deliver the gain I wanted with that pedal (nobody told me about single coils vs humbuckers) so when my father went on a business trip to London a few weeks later he changed it to the ShredMaster. Still got it, with box and manual🔥🤘🏻

Great feeling playing 80/90's pedals on 1996 gibson through 90' Marshall amp and being born in 80's. Feeling old now:)

Great idea on Marshall. I would prefer to have one of these to a copy. Just for the look. Who doesn’t love the 80’s?!?

My Dad and I bought the bluesbreaker and the guv’nor pedals at a guitarist show in London for a show special price of £20 each!!! Still got them and in mint condition.

I got the BB and Guv. I’ve always loved BB clones but never cared about these pedals, like getting originals or anything. Well, these are by a mile, the best overdrives I’ve ever played. I’ve got all kinds of boutique stuff and these Marshall pedals are the best sounding, feeling and responding that I’ve ever used.

Very Cool, Thankyou. I have a Guv'nor 2 Plus. And would want everyone of that series as I just love the shape and style, lol. The Guv'nor 2 is so awesome, but is really just sitting in it's box as my Overdrive channel on my Marshall amp is so outstandingly awesome anyway. But Still want to buy one of these new Guv'nor and Bluesbreaker Pedals Doh!

It's certainly true with fuzz pedals: Fuzz Face, Big Muff, Turd Fuzz... All legendary pedals!
