What a beautiful place. I love trams, I have a fear of heights which keeps me from skiing, so I always take the tram back down. But I do enjoy the views at the top. And that camp site looks lovely. I understand why bathrooms are so stingy in European camper vans. First the vans need to be small because of the old towns, then you have lovely washing spaces at the camp sites, so why bother with the cramped in van spaces. I still want a toilet for midnight needs. It's all lovely. Thanks for taking us along.

Snow, mountains, sun and fantastic views, beautiful, nice campsite. Have tried my own motor home this winter in the high mountains in Norway, we got snow storms at night, we had to have a plow car ahead of us, and one behind us for over an hour to get down from the mountain again the next day. The car worked very well in snow and cold, you can tell how you experience are in the cold in Switzerland, you keep warm? What heating system is there in this car, underfloor heating? Waiting for new video report from you, greeting from warm Fortaleza (Today 28 degrees of heat and breeze from the Atlantic)
@andrewjditton4 жыл бұрын
Hi Roy, it's a regular Truma Combi 6. This van did not come with the optional winter pack which includes the Combi 6E and underfloor heating, but it was fine nonetheless.

This is an awesome video, I'm really quite interested in trying out the van in a place like this - most instructive to see how it all goes! I assume a regular supply of gas and/or electricity are required in an area like this? Probably easier in a coachbuilt WRT insulation for the pipes and tanks etc. but it all looks epic. Also congrats on the snowboarding, something I've never got around to learning - I'd be the person repeatedly falling off :).

I do love the Alps so much - in the summertime. I admit that they look fantastic now, but I like when I can go trekking above the tree line, look for rare orchids and animals like marmotte and capricorn. It was quite funny to see Mont Blanc from that side - I always see it from Chamonix and Argentiere. I can only image what you must have spend on telepherique and funiculaire - they are quite expensive to ride. Did the camping offer you a discount coupon?

Hi Andrew, we really enjoyed that, reminded me of one of our best days boarding which was in les arc, last day of the season, no peeps with 2ft of fresh...it took me back, thanks. Snowboarding with a camper? How do you find getting everything dried out an sorted for next day esp following a snowy kind of day when stuff is wetter etc...do you use the patented Ditton portable drying cupboard?
@andrewjditton3 жыл бұрын
The campsite we stayed at had a drying room. But the garage to the Burstner is heated and we just hung jackets in the washroom.
