Volantex Trainstar Ascent FPV Mods. Opened a top hatch, mounted Matek F405-Wing iNav board, Beitian BN220T GPS, Eachine TS5823L Video Transmitter, Runcam Micro Eagle camera, R-X6R receiver. This is now a tough and stable FPV and camera carrying workhorse. Much better with top access.

Very nice flyer! On one of my camera planes I mounted the batteries and cameras under the wings. You will have a much better wing load; only not during hard landings (the batteries will eject though), and better cooling. For long flights you can also use 2x2 LiIon (ZOHD) cell-pods under the wings; adjust the low Voltage on the ESC!

@probante
@probante 2 жыл бұрын
@@kool-k-kel install a Zohd kopilot on the plane in order to control the “plane attitude” and forget about it. THEN, install an FC you like and connect ONLY the telemetry port. Of course this second FC needs to be connected to a vtx that will send the telemetry to your googles (do not connect gps port since kopilot is the only one that controls your plane RTH!) In short you will have from one side the kopilot that controls the plane (RTH, stabilization) and the second fC that through the vtx sends to your googles all the datas you have set. Hope this helps. 👋

Hello, This wing connector is a brass tube, it should be 32cm. It is shorter. 13cm for the left wing and 13cm for the right, the fuselage is 6cm. I tried to buy it but the diameter of this tube is non-standard, it is 7.9 mm. Standard tubes for RC models are 3,5,6,7,8,9,10 mm in diameter. Best regards.

Oh on fixed-wing GPS modules you don't have to do any calibration dance or anything? I guess all you do is wait to see if you have enough satellites locked on to make it work? I think quads usually need about 7 before you get the green light.

As I get back to flying after being out for ten years or so- I have a LOT of airplanes in storage, but looking for the modern foam equivalent of the old telemaster. My heavy wood Telemaster just floats and floats- to the point it can be hard to land. I keep looking to these foam trainers as the modern interpretation, but it seems they still don't float like the old flat-winged and much heavier wood models from "back in the day."

Little furry things with lots of claws and teeth going "Eeep!" and "G'day!" and so forth. But what do we hear now? I have finally got the PETG settings nailed and it's printing reliably with it now, I'm impressed with the material and it's way stronger than PLA but I'll only use it when I need the strength or something which won't degrade in environmental conditions (PETG is not biodegradable like PLA) and for most stuff I'll continue to use PLA.
