Great video! As you demonstrated, big channel cats are absolute knuckleheads when you try to hold them up. For that reason, I just keep them in the bottom of my net when handling them in my canoe. Of course, you don't have that option when making a video. Thanks for posting!

I've noticed on the red and the mn that in the heat of summer and low water I do far better on a mid channel bite. Find where water is shallower and moving a bit faster and fish the bottom. Breaks of the river channel. Snags fish far better in higher water for me

I just got ballsy enough to hit the river more frequently looking for cats. Just had to accept that I’m going to break off 😅
