The thing about clovers is weird. They count as weeds in that they sprout randomly, but they don't affect your Perfect Town status and also don't count towards the weeding badges or stuff like Leif coming by and asking you to pull weeds.

holdthebalone In fact, they can be used effectively as like pathways and whatnot, and have a 1/64 chance of being lucky clovers. I think the reason they don’t count as weeds is that in many communities (ones with an HOA, mainly), the HOA will usually be on your case about weeds in your yard... except clovers. Clovers aren’t very intrusive, they don’t spread easily, and they aren’t nearly as big an eyesore as most other weeds. Animal Crossing seems to have applied that same logic into its clovers.

It depends on how much you donate. They then donate a percentage of that. Like 5 or 10% I believe. Or, if you don't donate at all, it's about 20 bells a satin believe. I just donate all my excess money (2423->2000) that I have on me then they donate the percent.

Clovers ARE classified as weeds, BUT they don't count against your town cleanliness for the perfect town... You CAN have clovers everywhere and have a perfect town.... You can also find 4-leaf clover

And FYI... You can ONLY have perfect fruit trees of you NATIVE FRUIT. Since your native fruit is Apple, you can ONLY have perfect Apple trees. If you plant a perfect orange for example, you'll only get a normal orange tree because oranges aren't your native fruit.

Idk if youve done this yet because i need to go back and watch but just incase you havent if you speak to isabelle at her desk and ask for advice on living in the town she'll talk to you about the beach and ask you to bring her a seashell if you go visit it. Then when you go back to her after going to the beach and ask for advice again with a seashell in your pocket she'll give you fruit from her hometown if you give the shell to her (ie. My towns native fruit is oranges and she gave me pears) :)

You can get more tropical fruit (bananas, lychees and lemons) when you do the minigames on the island. Choose a bug-catching or fishing one, pick some fruit while doing the minigame and you'll be able to bring it back to your town once you're finished. They aren't worth more than the ones you get on your normal island, but they're still cool to have.

I think the animal do donate money to the projects but it isn't much and they will donate more often (from my experience) if you post "Please donate to the public works project" or something similar on the signboard located near the train station. Edit: I am not sure if the signboard thing I mentioned actually works. It is just from my experience. Post often and your animals might donate more. Maybe.

You can only get perfect fruit from your town's native fruit trees (for example PBG and Jeff can only get perfect apples.) If you want to get a perfect foreign fruit, you need to travel to someone else's town that has it.

Some clarification on whether clovers are weeds. When your town is full of weed and Leif asks you to help her pick them, a countdown appears that tells you how many weeds are left. Picking clovers doesn't decrease the countdown.

Okay, just to clarify, Jeff, you only read *part* of the article about clovers. Yes, they are technically weeds, but they do not act like weeds. They have no negative effects on your town. However, when you pick them there is a chance that you will get a four-leaf clover which increases your luck, so you may as well pick them whenever you see them.
