@@alanmooreisrasputinreincar8106 in one episode, Stewie and Brian go back in time a few years to find where Brian buried his bone in the front yard. When Stewie had his back turned, Brian went and prevented 9/11 from happening, which drastically changed their present time in a bad way. So if Stewie went back in time and made sure that he and Brian didn't swap blood, then that would change his present time, and thus should prevent him from getting herpes. Otherwise, in the episode that brings Brian back to life, the present Stewie went back into the past and saved him. But then he faded away so that 2 stewies wouldn't exist at the same time. Also Stewie doesn't remember saving Brian, but Brian does. And he still knowingly gave him herpes, instead of just simply telling stewie "no, I don't want to swap blood with you, because it's not a good idea". I mean if Stewie is your best friend, then you don't really have a reason to lie to him. But if you're too embarrassed, then just say that you haven't been tested yet and you don't want to take any chances.

anik monette probably because oral herpes as a disease is largely dormant the only form that rwquires medical attention is the std that affects your genital not the cold sores around the mouth and Brian probably takes the medication to make the disease dormant whenever it flares up. Like everyone that has herpes has to do, which also so happens to be over a fifth of the world's population, which could actually be a higher number than that because some people have been diagnosed with it POST MORTEM and never knew because the dormant phases of the disease can last an insane amount of time.

I think what the show tried to make fun of is that soldiers are idealized, even if they're doing unspeakable things. No, not starting bar fights - crimes, actual war crimes. The name Afganistan wasn't there by accident, y'know? Let's just say that USA is amazing at profiting from wars and has to keep making excuses to warmonger. And for that they need to turn their soldiers into superheroes who "Protect your freedom and are an example to your chilldren". All that for the public to support their military, also hiding from the public all the negatives of military. So, no kids. Your grandpapa wasn't a war hero who died for your freedom killing evil terrorists. He was a poor pawn in a huge Buisness plan of a Nation obsessed with war, Shooting civilians of a country that has nothing to do with US and died an unnesescary death among his own crimes, for someone else's money.

I noticed that in the final scenes of the Brian/Stewie plot, Stewie's herpies seemed to mysteriously vanish without a trace. I guess they didn't even the budget to put herpies onto Stewie in every scene he was in. Which just further begs the question of why they let it air?! Sometimes an idea doesn't turn out the way you thought it would, sometimes you have to admit it's not working and go back to the drawing board! And to think it takes Family Guy upwards of a year to make episodes, with any other show adult or not, this would be unacceptable.

The sad part is this could've been a great episode if it was written a little differently. For example: Brian walks in on Stewie watching a 'blood brothers' scene on tv. Stewie gets intrigued and begs Brian to do this with him (since they are friends and somewhat 'relatives' by living in the same home) but Brian refuses. The rest of the episode consists of Stewie hunting him down, trying to get the truth (and maybe even some blood) out of Brian, until the dog breaks down and confesses that he's got herpes. Stewie is utterly disgusted and avoids Brian to the point of absurdity (sleeping on the roof, ect), but then Chris comes in and explains how Brian accidentally gave him the same virus years earlier (let's say Chris did something stupid, like trying to kiss a weed-whacker, and Brian saved him, but in a manner which ended up with blood-to-blood contact). Stewie realizes that Brian is a victim of a vicious stigma, and apologizes for pressuring him about something so sensitive, teaching everyone a valuable lesson- oh, AND NO ONE GIVES A BABY AN STD!!!

Let's see, there's Not All Dogs Go To Heaven, Brian's A Bad Father, Play It Again, Brian, American Gigg-olo, Tiegs For Two, Scammed Yankees, Excellence In Broadcasting, Be Careful What You Fish For, The Blind Side, Petey IV, Brokeback Swanson, Leggo My Meg-O, The D In Apartment 23, Dog Bites Bear (even though he *kind of* redeemed himself in the end) Brian Griffin's House Of Payne, Brian's Got A Brand New Bag, Brian Writes A Bestseller, Brian The Closer, etc. So yeah. All of those episodes, including Herpe The Love Sore, show Brian at his worst, in my opinion.

To be fair, Family Guy episodes are supposed to start with watching TV. If you go back to season one, all of Peter's jokes were pop culture references because all he did was watch TV. It was an important part of his personality and a building point of the show. Note the TV in the "I" of the series' logo. Not saying these are always funny, but just as every other show has it's formula, this is Family Guy's. It not meant to burn time because they're lazy or pad a weak story out.

OK I just wanna point out when it comes to bar fights especially military personnel guys like them would not want to be sticking around the same bar every time they got in a fight once. Any chance that any information were to get out about the three getting in a bar fight their commanding officer, any sort of military higher up would be furious demanding these three to be punished. Like nobody wants an article 15 especially if they’re in the US military. These guys clearly don’t seem to realize that you can’t come back to the same bar otherwise you’re gonna get caught. The only thing they could’ve done to make this episode any good is while the mayor and the patrons at the bar cheer these disgraceful soldiers on their superior officer, along with MPs arrive, arresting them. Now the thing is when the military of any branch arrest, their own soldiers takes them in to be court martialed the only lawyer, they can get us a jag officer. Otherwise they can’t literally be doing that kind of stuff in public. It embarrasses the uniform that every soldier has fought and died for command. Takes this very seriously. The writters of family guy could’ve just out of the scene where are the MPs arrive arresting them but now they just decided to make it look like these guys are being shared by a crowd of drunken patrons. I mean at the very least it would be better if they were all lined up ordered by these three soldiers, commanding officer to stand at attention as they’re ridiculed in front of everybody like literally it’s just incredible how the writers never thought this through
