Shimada is the name of the clan based on the name of the family. Hanzo hasn't used his sword since he fought Genji. Genji's melee/Lshift is his wakizashi, a short version of the katana (so not a dagger but more of a short-sword), usually worn in a set by the samurai. There, I weebed for you.

Lore thing: Hanzo was trained in the sword, but he gave it up when he was forced to 'kill' Genji. You can see the sword on the Hanamura map, one is missing (Genji's) but a blue-sheathed sword is still present. Hanzo refused to take it with him since he forsook his clan.

Hi, I actually know things about lore. I can answer a few of your questions - sojourn is confirmed for OW2 -In dev update Jeff said to pay attention to the graffiti in the new map. The only prominent graffiti on the map is the spray with a fox. There are many hints pointing at the daughter of the rival gang in town being a fox based character. -Last year, Jeff is the one who said "We won't be getting anymore new heroes to Overwatch 1 this year." Worded in such a way that releasing a hero in 2021 is still a possibility. -there are hints in the story basically telling us something is going to happen with OW irl when the cherry blossoms bloom. (For those unaware, they only bloom for a few weeks in spring) -some speculate that we will have a new Fox girl hero revealed this spring when the cherry blossoms bloom Questions?

Swift Strike: Genji darts forward, slashing with his wakizashi and passing through foes in his path. If Genji eliminates a target, he can instantly use this ability again. The wakizashi is a sword, he also uses it for deflecting. But he uses a sword in his swift strike and in his ultimate.

100% YES on doing more flashback VOD review. Really enjoyed the one with Fuel and Dynasty. Also felt super nostalgic thinking about that era of OWL. Would dig a pre-OWL review too, as I'm sure a lot of OWL (and OW in general for that matter) weren't really there to witness it. Wow at the Barkley discussion. He was pretty entertaining back in the day. I was in the Cal Band (Berkeley) and in Vancouver's first year, they drafted a Cal guy. So they shipped 30 of us up there to teach the new Vancouver basketball fans how to cheer/taunt. It was against Houston w/ Barkley. He took it really well and dished it out. He eventually conducted us for a few songs.

I think, and this may be a bonkers take, that teams which have to constantly play at high ping(london&paris) may find themselves at an advantage. They will find compositions and strats where ping plays a more minor role, and will be able to practice those against teams who have to play on high ping much more infrequently. This could lead to some sneaky big wins in perhaps the middle third of the season

Working in a grocery store has been brutal on my mental, but seeing the Plat Chat crew (and other esports folk) being smart and being safe had brought me comfort during the pandemic. I played sigma for a bit on this experimental patch, and what I found was I had less vision and was forced to use cover more to wait for my shield. Cool thing about rein is the third person view you can see around corners and stuff where in "real life" or if there was no first person view he'd have the shield up and be staring at a wall. That 'shield vision is one of the most useful parts of reinhardt. Previously as sigma, I could stand out in the open more and take a few bits of damage because my shield was coming back in 1 second to redeploy (obviously not at full health but thats not the point).

So for this "new character", she would probably be the daughter of the author of the letter. Her identity is purposefully kept very discreet since the author refers to her as "our daughter". And mostly likely, she'd have some kind of illusion ability since foxes (kitsune in Japanese, nice try Bren) are known for their illusions in Japanese mythology. And before this story and Kanezaka came out, there were already rumors of a hero with a fox theme/companion. If a new character doesn't come of it, it might be a story mission for OW2.

traditionally japanese sentences/text are read top do bottom, and speech bubbles in manga are right to left, and book pages are turned right to left (opposite of western books which start left and you turn to the right) however, japanese text is also often seen and read left to right, whenever it's not written top to bottom. some (all) print newspapers, i think, are still written and read vertically top to bottom, but online stuff and like, menus and lots of other common every day stuff is horizontal left to right

The problem with sigma is the same thing that was the problem at release. He does too much. He is a shield tank, he has CC, he has a personal defense matrix in the form of kinetic grasp that gives him extra shields, and he has an decent ultimate. He was badly designed. The best designed heroes have clear weaknesses and strengths.

Hanzo used to have a sword. When he fought Genji and thought he killed him, Hanzo abandoned use of his sword because he thought he had killed his brother with it, hence he only uses a bow now.

I feel like if you gave sigma 1000-1200 hp barrier and removed grasp he would be fine. Having to shoot shield, then wait for his infinite damage eat ability to end, then having to shoot shield again, then having to shoot his added hp pool just makes it so hard to force a sigma out of his corner or keep him from pushing.
