Part 2 please. My shoulder was hurting from doing mace and club work. Realized it was because my tricep on that side was really tight, I pointing my elbow to the sky enough. I was essentially "cutting the corner" as you said in your recent video. More stretching and myafashia release has helped. Also just got your book "enter the steel mace" in the mail this past week. Planning to go though it here soon

I'm an absolute beginner, aged 65. I have over the past few months, I've picked up my 1lb club and gone through the motions. But I still can't grasp the nomenclature behind the moves. How about a video that addresses this, along with when you swivel the wrists, elbows and shoulders. I find the green hatched lines, tracing the path of the club, is helpful. I find you're videos extremely helpful.

Glad my videos can help. On the joint movement, I just recently uploaded a updated version of my Beginner Indian Club routine here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqnHg5eabLV7r6M

I like going the other way because it feels like I'm doing a block and then swinging around for a stroke. I've probably watched too many movies about ancient combat. A medieval approach but it works for me. Agree that you should do what feels better. Either way works.

That makes perfect sense from a top hand perspective.

One thing that has helped me with elbow pain is just squeeze a grip strength trainer. My inner elbow on both arms had tendinitis and what I found out is the tendon was real weak and the mace pulled too hard on it. I tried everything and the only thing that helped was a grip strength trainer.
