Jimmy does what's good for the numbers, he (probably) doesn't even like his own persona judging by how he drinks off screen. Everyone can shit on him or dislike him, but the late night viewers apparently do like what they see. I'm not a fan of his show, but the man does his job and does it pretty well.

I may be a maverick There’s a malicious vibe that is present when I watch Ellen watching/taunting her contestants fight/play for money/possessions/expenses, etc. Sure. Its all fun and games.. but it’s similar to what history shows This type of behavior is not new. Hope she’s kind hearted at the end of the day Regardless as long as there’s followers Ellen will always be on tv...

Jimmy wanting to be super likable is why people don’t like him. He seemed super chill and cool when he did an interview with Howard Stern. Seemed to be his true self in that atmosphere. The first seasons of Colbert’s Late Show was offensive Colbert Report 2.0 with sprinkles of his real personality. CBS obviously didn’t like it and now black-framed glasses Colbert is nothing like how he was when he was picked up for the gig. Like the music industry, the more influence you have as an artist, the more controlled you are likely to be by the distributor.

@@BoshBargnani Anthony is saying it on a public forum, which means it's not exactly "behind his back"...it's just not directly to his face. Also, I doubt Jimmy would do sh*t about it. It's not like Anthony is saying it here because he's afraid to say it to him. You are allowed to speak negatively about other people...not everything has to be rainbows and sunshine. How does reflecting and speaking honestly about a job you lost in the past make you ungrounded and fake? Seems like he's being pretty "real" about the situation to me. I'd say being able to honestly, and unemotionally, reflect on uneasy times in life is a pretty good sign of "grounded" person. So, OP's comment actually seems pretty accurate...yours? You just hate Anthony, don't you? Who did he insult that made you hate him 😆 😆 😆 TL;DR - You can still be nice, real and grounded, even if everything you say isn't nice and friendly all the time. Anthony seems to be all those things in this interview. Herish is butthurt about one of Anthony's jokes.

I can't stand everyone bitching about how "fake" he is. Then why are you watching his show? If you really don't like him don't watch it. Simple as that. Also why does it matter if it's scripted? Does that make it less real? Come on guys they're performers. That's their job. You really think Conan and Kimmel don't have a million rehearsed things lined up for them to say? You all just clicked on this video to feed your self fulfilling bias. You already don't like him and you just want to see more people shit on him.

Based on the comments, I guess I’m in the minority because I like Fallon. I’m glad he didn’t sell out in the sense that he’s not gonna start doing edgy jokes just to get the masses off his ass. He’s good at what he does. It’s not my favorite talkshow host by any stretch but he’s a great impressionist, he’s fun and lighthearted with the guests and there’s a place for that. I think people give him way too hard a time. What’s wrong with sticking to your guns and not doing a show you’re not comfortable doing?

I agree 100%. How good can a comedian really be if he has to be mean? I don't think Fallon's laugh is fake, either. Some people are just very quick to laugh. My family is like that. Also, I actually think those who dislike him are in the minority. Otherwise he wouldn't be so popular and have stayed so long in the most coveted spot in latenight. Most people are nice. Many are assholes. The assholes are always louder

Theres nothing wrong with not pushing the envelope and doing edgy jokes. Thats not what the issue is here. Jimmy fallon just happens to not be a good late night host. He cant conduct an interview to save his life, the phony laughing is like nails on a chalkboard, and he stoops down to pre-scripted, rehearsed bits with guests where they halfass their way through acting like its improvised. Its insulting to the intelligence of the viewers, and jimmy fallon should be better than that. Especially because he has a lot of other talents he could be relying on.

I’ve never understood why Fallon gets so much hate. He’s a talented, good at impressions, personable, and he seems to genuinely enjoy what he does. He has always laughed at everything. Even back on SNL he broke character all the time cuz he was cracking up. Idk... I like him.

Talented? At what? He's not good at impressions. The rest of your opinions are subjective, so ok, I guess if you like him then fine.
