Jimmy does what's good for the numbers, he (probably) doesn't even like his own persona judging by how he drinks off screen. It's not like Anthony is saying it here because he's afraid to say it to him. You are allowed to speak negatively about other people...not everything has to be rainbows and sunshine. How does reflecting and speaking honestly about a job you lost in the past make you ungrounded and fake? Seems like he's being pretty "real" about the situation to me. I'd say being able to honestly, and unemotionally, reflect on uneasy times in life is a pretty good sign of "grounded" person. So, OP's comment actually seems pretty accurate...yours? ive always thought the hate around jimmy is very bizarre. yes, he can be a little over exuberant and come off as a “try hard” but i truly and honestly think he just suffers from social anxiety. people don’t realize that when you have social anxiety you aren’t trying to be annoying, but it’s the fact that you’re overthinking everything you’re doing and saying that makes people come off not so well. i understand this as i also suffer from social anxiety

It's a great stable gig that can feed their families. Music industry is so hard it would ludicrous to turn down an offer like that. I remember when Branford Marsalis became the bandleader of Jay Leno. I thought that was equally as strange. He got tired of it fairly quickly and quit after about three or four years...

Jimmy Fallon was an entertaining host when you first started watching. Then everything felt repetitive. I think the celebrities didn't mind going on his show because they knew what to expect with him. I watched some clips within the last year and it felt the same when he was the host of Late Night

Personally, if being liked by everyone is genuinely Jimmy’s goal for his career with a pure intention. I’m totally cool n on board with what ever his up to, though it is a cruel cruel world filled with lies n distrust, so I understand where all the hates n criticisms may have come from. And I won’t be surprised if it lead one man to seek comfort through sm late night booze with the buds.
@troykeller6203 жыл бұрын
I can't stand everyone bitching about how "fake" he is. Then why are you watching his show? If you really don't like him don't watch it. Simple as that. Also why does it matter if it's scripted? Does that make it less real? Come on guys they're performers. That's their job. You really think Conan and Kimmel don't have a million rehearsed things lined up for them to say? You all just clicked on this video to feed your self fulfilling bias. You already don't like him and you just want to see more people shit on him.

Based on the comments, I guess I’m in the minority because I like Fallon. I’m glad he didn’t sell out in the sense that he’s not gonna start doing edgy jokes just to get the masses off his ass. He’s good at what he does. It’s not my favorite talkshow host by any stretch but he’s a great impressionist, he’s fun and lighthearted with the guests and there’s a place for that. I think people give him way too hard a time. What’s wrong with sticking to your guns and not doing a show you’re not comfortable doing?
@RH-tv9hk5 жыл бұрын
I agree 100%. How good can a comedian really be if he has to be mean? I don't think Fallon's laugh is fake, either. Some people are just very quick to laugh. My family is like that. Also, I actually think those who dislike him are in the minority. Otherwise he wouldn't be so popular and have stayed so long in the most coveted spot in latenight. Most people are nice. Many are assholes. The assholes are always louder
@RJMacReady15 жыл бұрын
Theres nothing wrong with not pushing the envelope and doing edgy jokes. Thats not what the issue is here. Jimmy fallon just happens to not be a good late night host. He cant conduct an interview to save his life, the phony laughing is like nails on a chalkboard, and he stoops down to pre-scripted, rehearsed bits with guests where they halfass their way through acting like its improvised. Its insulting to the intelligence of the viewers, and jimmy fallon should be better than that. Especially because he has a lot of other talents he could be relying on.
