Just gliding right over the Dan Nelson debacle. Damn!

Worship and for all kings are two of my favourite thrash albums of all time, there is something about those two albums that are so authentic and 'real' I have loved anthrax since the mid 80s and I'll continue to love there music until my last day alive.

Worship Music brought back the original Anthrax spirit. I just can't believe it's already 11 years since its release.

I was so happy when this album came out and then the tour. My favorite band had come back. This record still gives me chills. My favorite since Among.

Soooo many things not mentioned, and seemingly being glossed over, hoping fans don't notice..... Joey being fired the second time after the reunion tour, and finding out from a friend reading it online, with No explanation or reason why, from the band themselves. Anthrax needed Joey for the Big Four Shows, and he was right there, willing and ready to join again and help them back on their feet and move forward! Anyone who has ever met Joey, will tell you what a stand up, classy guy he is and one of the nicest, easy going musicians you'll ever meet! Not to mention his amazing vocals and energy he brings to the band. The band's continued success is Thanks to Joey, putting his ego aside, for his"brothers" and band mates. Joey completes Anthrax, he is the past, present and future of the band's success! I just hope Charlie, Frankie and Scott realize this, for it seems as though they don't, since none of it is addressed in any of these videos. Own up to your mistakes guys, and recognize the band wouldn't be, without Joey as your face and voice!!

OK, so.... you skipped over what happened after WCFYA. The Greater of Two Evils in 2004, then an unexplained "Among the Living reunion tour" in 2005, and the roller coaster ride that followed. Bush was officially out, but did a couple of shows at some point? Dan Nelson's five minutes in the band... I'm dying to hear that story..... basically I wanna know everything from 2004 to 2010 and what happened and why. The band is certainly great now, and I love the albums... but as an amateur Anthrax Historian I wanna know the other stuff too.

I know right?? Probably a lot of negative stuff happened that they don't want to talk about. I'm still wondering why they kicked out Joey in the first place. They had one platinum album and four gold albums with him. Why would they replace him with an unknown from a power metal band in which they only had one gold album with thereafter?

i was wondering too
@AaronWilbers3 жыл бұрын
I don't think Joey singing on those albums would have changed anything. Bush was a great fit for that material but metal was in a transition phase and Anthrax was a victim of that. And Bush wasn't really an unknown to those who were into metal, just not a big name.

Superb lp. I love so many of the songs but Let the Right One In is an absolute monster. One of my favourite Anthrax songs ever. I love the shouts during the false endings. Sums up how pumped I get listening to the song

Not to take away from arguably their best album with Joey, but... I'm guessing this is following the old saying of, "If you can't say something nice, don't say it at all." Totally glossed over one of the most wild moments in Anthrax history, which just happens to be the writing of this album.
@gregg15223 жыл бұрын
What a killer album this is. But curiously, no mention of Dan? It would have been interesting to know about his involvement in the writing of the album.
@cradle2dave3 жыл бұрын
Remember, Scott writes the lyrics and Charlie the music so Dan didn’t really contribute to the writing of the songs. Although I think it was strange not to include that low time in their career before two of their best albums.

This album does kick ass, and so does the next one. The music has this great combo of old and new, comprising different songwriting approaches learned over the years, and Joey's voice just has this thing about it that brings new ideas home in way that you can get away with different things and have it still "sound like Anthrax". The creative bar is set higher now because of this album.

Awesome documentaries covering the band's history, but a lot of us really want to know the real reason why Joey left the band in the first place. You were consistently making gold albums and platinum albums with him... Was it the record label forcing your hand? Was the advent of grunge the impetus? To get a more heavy singer rather than someone more melodic? was Joey just not happy with the fact that you guys were involving yourselves with rap as opposed to metal? I mean the machine wasn't really broken. I've always wondered why it needed to be fixed. You only had one RIAA certified release with his replacement

Hey, man! I had to watch Episodes 22 and 23 all over again to figure out what was happening. You were omitting the most unhappy and confusing period of Anthrax history. There was even a lawsuit against you and it is very understandable that you don't want to talk about it ever again. I get that and I trust you 100% about the fact that Dan Nelson is a douchebag, a bully and deserves no attention. I don't give a shit about Dan Nelson. But suppressing the reunion tour with Joey And Dan Spitz was a big mistake, even tho "it didn't end on a positive note", like you told Blabbermouth in 2010. You underestimate the importance of that tour/reunion for the fans. And omitting John Bush's departure from the band was another big mistake. It feels like if Kiss had omitted the period between Alive 2 and Creatures Of The Night in Kisstory. We, the hardcore fans, want to know! I hope you fix these mistakes in the DVD/Blu Ray. You made a hole episode about Bring The Noize and another episode about the "Married With Children" guest appearance, and we loved it! Do you really think we don't wanna know anything about the 2004-2010 period? It would be a very unhappy episode for sure. But personally I'd like to know what led you to make my favorite Anthrax record, which is Worship Music. Anyway, thank you so much for all these doc episodes! Like I wrote to you on Instagram, you have been a great reference to me, as musicians, as composers and as a band. Since I heard "Spreading" for the first time, I knew what kind of music I wanted to make for the rest of my life. Can't wait for the next episode! Can't wait for the next album! Be safe, be healthy and take care! Best regards from Brazil!
