Antique oak desk restoration|makeover |Flipping furniture for profit

In this video I transform a tired vintage oak desk into a modern classy matte black piece using all in one Dixie Belle mineral paint -colour Anchor. Hardware gilded with gold gilding wax.

It amazes me at all the work you put into the pieces. Your detail work is wonderful, inside and out, also the back of each piece. I watch videos like this all the time, for the most part people always do only what the eyes can see, you go all the way and complete the whole piece. This piece is worthy of being called museum quality work. It has an elegant refined look. Another 100% success with you sticking doing high end work....again. Prep work can be tedious but well worth the effort as your finished work adds more value to each project. Bravo!

In most of your videos I watched, I love the transition from plain oak( complete brown) furniture to the the 2 tone colours - wood and whatever colour paint you cover the wood with. And the sometimes darker tone of stain against the lighter wood. It is unique👌

I love everything you do including this beautiful piece. Being the 9-minute version (no idea if there is a longer version), I wonder about the top of the desk. Did you paint the leather? I didn’t understand the explanation. And I found it hilarious that the front and drawers were painted at the same time (with the drawers closed). Did they not stick? End result was as beautiful as the work you usually achieve. Thanks again.

I seem to have missed what you did to the lower portion. I saw the sanding on the legs and support pieces, but then you pained the top and after the hardware it was done. Did you stain the lower portion?
