Achankovil is a village in Pathanapuram taluk of Kollam district . Achankovil lies in the middle of the Sahya mountain ranges east of Alimuk Chempanaruvi from Punalur town. The famous Shasta temple here is a Hindu pilgrimage site. Rubber plantations and coops can be found in and around the Achenkov area. A forest stream called Pallivasal flows through the middle of the village . There is a vehicular road to the temple.
Achankovil, the center of the hill tribes known as Malampandaras , is in Thenmala Panchayat. The government has set up a few tribal colonies for the settlement of tribals here.

ഒരു വണ്ടിക്ക് പോകാനുള്ള സ്ഥലമേ ഉള്ളു . ഓപ്പസിറ്റ് വണ്ടി വന്നാൽ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടാകും. ഫോറസ്റ്റ് ഓഫീസുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെടുക. പിന്നെ പുനലൂർ അലിമുക്കിൽ നിന്നും അച്ചൻ കോവിലിന് വഴിയുണ്ട് അതു വഴി പോകാം. കാടിന്റെ വന്യത മനസ്സിലാക്കുവാൻ കോന്നി വഴിയാണ് നല്ലത്

Scooter ൽ പോകാൻ പറ്റുമോ ? ഒരു White scooter കണ്ടു. But റോഡ് കണ്ടിട്ട്.....!!! 🙄
