Apart from taking away the tingling effect, I imagine it will also take away any static noise when recording on the MacBook.

It does, since it’s grounded while the power adapter alone is not.

This is the only video I could find that helped me realize how to detach the removable corner tip of the Apple charging block in order to place an European adapter there. It's says a lot about the producer who doesn't care to include even the simplest instruction leaflet with their top product, let alone to see to some instruction videos on KZbin, for one. You buy a €7 flashlight and get some instructions, but at €3000+ Apple doesn't provide anything. Nothing. Zero. Nada.
