@alleunamme978 No, I said in the intro this was once marketed as a healthy snack, back in the days when anything with fruit in it was considered "healthy" :P

@gezzaky I'm not sure that would work, you really need the dried apricots to make the mixture stick together properly. You can give it a go if you like, but I can't guarantee anything ;)

@katharineeee You can use any plain sweet cookies for this recipe. I'm not familiar with American cookie brands, but I'm sure someone from the US will read this and tell us a local equivalent ;)

I've seen recipes that call for almonds instead of cookies/biscuits. Have you made them that way? I bought these for my son from a local grocery for years. They stopped carrying them, which is unfortunate. Idk what the ingredients in those store bought apricot logs were..bit, I see recipes with dried glaze apricots, raw almonds and condensed milk often (as well as a couple other ingredients). Conflicted on which recipe to try. Suggestions?

@FloatnFlow A blender is for mixing liquid or semi-liquid foods. A Food Processor is a stronger device for mixing more soild items ;) In this recipe, Condensed Milk is essential and cannot be substituted.

@xoxoEquinebond You really should chop them up a bit (or cut them up with kitchen scissors) as it makes it easier to process them into the mixture. Large chunks are harder to mix, making the dough lumpy :)

Are Nice biscuits the same in Australia as they are over here (UK) A plainish biscuit that has a Coconut flavour & depending on the brand may have coconut in them?

Thank you. I wondered if the biscuits are in there for the flavour or texture as I've seen other recipes for these balls that are just Apricot and Coconut. And, have you tried other dried fruit, like Dates or Prunes with a complementary biscuit such as 'Rich Tea' or 'Marie' ?
