You did some very nice filming in a very confined and awkward spot - great vid!

Fuel remapping is a must, these valves are also used to regulate the performance of the engine, especially when braking. They use it on MotoGP.
@TubeSocksMalone2 жыл бұрын
That’s false. Even Aprilia states the butterfly valve is only for sound reduction. Has zero effect on performance only sound. It’s only on production bikes on the street.

Top vid, have you noticed any drop in low end torque? Just wondering because there's mixed opinions on this and I thought I'd ask someone that's actually done it, thanks.
@TubeSocksMalone4 жыл бұрын
Triumphant_Chubby I haven’t noticed none at all to be honest. Even Aprilia says is strictly for noise. I think some just get it in their heads that it does and spread it around like fact. Kind of like flat earthers lol

great video ,I'm doing this tomorrow , only got 24 miles on my 2020 tuono but this is happening man , can I ask you a question can you get a servo eliminator so you can remove the servo ?. cheers mate .
@TubeSocksMalone3 жыл бұрын
I don’t believe you can get a servo eliminator as a stand alone. I think the only way is either buying the race ecu or having your stock ecu flashed unfortunately.
@urasaixx31633 жыл бұрын
@@TubeSocksMalone hey bud, did you experience any error on your bike after you removed the cables? I’m planning to do the same as you did but I’m scared that I might get warning on my dash. Thanks👍
@TubeSocksMalone3 жыл бұрын
You will not get a warning if you only remove the cables as the servo will continue to function but won’t have any cables hooked up to it. Their is no sensor telling the ECU that the cables are not hooked up so as far as the bike is concerned it’s working and doing it’s job. If you remove or unplug the servo then you will get an error. I still have not got an error since I did it and anyone I’ve talked to that did it correctly and only removed the cables have not got an error either
@urasaixx31633 жыл бұрын
@@TubeSocksMalone I just did mine. It’s all good so far.🤞 Thanks bud🤘

Is there a way to remove the SERVICE code yourself or is it possible for dealer to get it flashed so u dont need the servo?
@M-POWER7772 жыл бұрын
So if you remove the cables the valve will always be open?
@t.h15725 жыл бұрын
If you have the race ECU like i have you can just remove the plug from the motor. the ecu deals whit the error code.
@TubeSocksMalone5 жыл бұрын
Nixxion _ correct 👌.
@mutters_tv63265 жыл бұрын
You didn’t take out the cables? Just unplugged the front part?
@TubeSocksMalone5 жыл бұрын
Mutters_TV no I removed the cables completely but left the actual servo plugged in so the bike thinks it’s operating but with the cables removed it’s clearing not. Just tricks the bike so it doesn’t throw a code
@mutters_tv63265 жыл бұрын
MotoBike Mike awesome thanks. If I have the race ecu should I take all of it out when I get my slip on?
@TubeSocksMalone5 жыл бұрын
Mutters_TV yes if you have the race ECU and slip on you can remove it all and unplug it as well with no error code 👌.

Sup man, i ran into your video and wanted to ask, any mayor issues after doing this? I want to do my Tuono but feel a bit scared of something happening to her haha
@TubeSocksMalone5 жыл бұрын
Absolutely zero issues if it's done the exact way I did it in the video. The only issue that would ever come up is if you actually unplug the servo rather than just removing the cables and tricking the servo into thinking it's actually working and that issue would only be a warning light but is actually harmless just then you have to clear it and the way I showed is the go to way. Aprilia clearly states in the service manual the only purpose of the flapper valve is strictly for noise pollution and nothing more. After 4,000rpm I think it just opens up but it's only for noise at low idle. After all this time no issues, no warning lights nothing.

Hi. Is there a screw holding the servo cover in place? I can't find a way to open it
@TubeSocksMalone6 жыл бұрын
urabummer yes their is a screw holding the servo in place. I unscrewed my servo to make it easier to get the cables off. I can’t remember exactly where the screws are located since my bike is at home but as soon as I get home I can take a quick look. Are you in the Facebook group ‘the Aprilia Factory’? If you’re I used loaded the entire service manual to that Facebook group. Not the owners manual but the official service manual
@tetradodeca6 жыл бұрын
@@TubeSocksMalone hi Mike. I see 2 screws holding the servo in place. However it is the cover for it that I'm having trouble with opening. :( I'm not in the facebook group. Will look it up! Thank you for the prompt reply!

No problem. Yeah check the Facebook group out and once you’re in the group go to the files section and their should be a few things a people have uploaded like owners manuals. I uploaded the service manual so since it’s the same book the shops work off of it should help. All the best brother anytime I can help I am more than happy to

MotoBike Mike that’s exactly what I’m doing on my 2019. Where did you get your cf parts? Specifically the intake covers?
@TubeSocksMalone4 жыл бұрын
bigdclonts I got them from HSBKracing.com they specialized in Italian super bikes and have a race team in the Houston Super bike racing series and guess what they race Aprilia’s. Apparently they have also had the most successful race season two years in a row for Aprilia in the U.S. so I think you would be in good hands. Any questions you can contact them as they definitely know Aprilias and race bikes too.

Will safety wires work to keep the valve in the open position?
@TubeSocksMalone3 жыл бұрын
Yes it will. It’s stays open on its own automatically as it’s the servo motor that closed it using the cables but to insure for some fluke reason it closes you can use safety wire for peace of mind
