Thank you for taking the time to make this review. Just thought you should know that Duramag SS are Stainless Steel so what you may have found isn’t actually rust but rather a coating that somewhat resembles light rust but assure you it’s not rust. Duramag CPD used to use their proprietary lube on their SS mags along with milspec ss springs but have since switched to Teflon coatinged and Chrome Moly spring which last longer than standard SS milspec springs. Thanks again 👍🏻

Well, I’ve been around the block a bit. Have run every mag on the market and have found myself tossing or giving away magazines that I’d worry about their feed lips when stored loaded. Milspec springs are NOT the crème de la crème of springs as stainless steel springs are required for military use for all weather and elements but the chrome moly springs are much better choice for those of us not submerging our mags in salt water. Btw, the military has deemed magazines as disposable after 30-40 reloads per magazine. The new Duramag magazines run Chrome Molly springs designed to far exceed mil spec springs life span. I’m a huge Duramag fan boy and have “your” previous stainless steel versions with that coating which I even thought was rust but after a great conversation with their customer service, Justus explained the previous processing detail of that coating that resembles rust but rub gun oil on it and it disappears. New SS mags are Teflon coated and no longer use mil spec springs. I have lots of the 556 and 308 mags and after thousands of rounds I’ve had ZERO failures. Get more of them, stock up cause they’ll eventually and if standard magazine capacities become hard to get then they’ll become the most expensive mags on the market. Duramags RULE!

Great information useful information I just got an AR pistol in 7.62x39. The person I bought it from basically told me to run Duramags never heard of the company and nobody carried them locally except for the .223/556 ones. Bummer but the person that sold me it gave me a 10 round. My 30 round mag just came in today looks great! I was debating getting a second 30 but now I think I’m going to get a 20 round to complete the capacity tree! Thanks boss

Yea I want to get a mic next. Thanks for the comment.
I wonder if that includes the baseplate, or if they are just claiming it's SS because the body is? I will say I see no rust on the bodies, and that's what matters.

Hey buddy. My 28 round mags do when I load up past 25 rounds Got 4 of them and ordered 6 more recently. A few of my 30 round mags out of the 22 mags I own do with the 30th round loaded. I just download all my mags by 2 or 3. Don't have and 20 round mags.

@@robertpagel8951 When a full mag rattles that might mean your follower is sticking, your rounds are rim locking or stacking weird, or there's a burr in the mag body.
