I'm a simple french dude, I see JHS talking about Anasound, I instantly like it . Joke aside, I've been watching both your show and Palf for years now, and you both did an AMAZING job at explaining what pedals are made of and made for, and I'm deeply grateful for what you've done. Oh, and the element is my fav from them, truly making the spring reverbe a whole new world when it comes to pedals
@adamtrem2 жыл бұрын
I have the Element with all three reverb tanks. It's amazing. Josh didn't mention that it has a saturation mode (although it looks like he has it on when he demos it) that produces a very distinct & trashy sort of overdrive with the reverb. Also, the tanks are named Le Bon (The Good), La Brute (The Bad), and Le Truand (The Ugly).
@JC-111112 жыл бұрын
I'm wondering if I can use my amp's reverb circuit with a tank outside of the cabinet like these. That way I could try a long tank out instead of the 6" tank that came in my amp. 🤷 Seems like I may need to close the bottom of the tank like they have but otherwise I don't see why it wouldn't work as long as the red & white cables are long enough to reach outside of the cab. You can obviously use a tank outside of the amp as proven by this pedal but I'm just not sure if it'll work the same using the built-in circuit from the amp. I'm guessing it will. I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't.

Ordered an Elements reverb, and it is nicer than any reverb I've ever heard in an amp. I got the La Brute (medium) tank, & it has as much verb as I'll ever need. I did have an issue at first, but the Anasounds guys in France were very responsive via email, & it turned out the problem was a super easy fix I could do myself. I have a very small amp head with no onboard reverb, & I can't stand digital reverb (I've tried: it sounds like a freakin' ring-tone made of an hourglass full of sharp, jagged glass sand), but none of the true spring reverb devices out there seemed all that good for the money. The Elements is PERFECT, and the "saturation" switch creates a nice trashy psychedelic distortion for space-outs.

Jean Michel Jarre is one of the pioneers of electronic music from the 70's. He used to plug his string machine into a phaser pedal "Small Stone", it's a characteristic sound of his music. If you like "Oxygene", you could listen to his following opus "Equinoxe". He learned a bit of experimental music called "concrete music" with Pierre Schaeffer in the 60's. And then, he wanted to mix this kind of avant-garde with popular music, using synths and samplers (tape recorders at that time). Oxygene is the bestseller of french pop music (I think it's more than 18 millions copies sold around the world now).
