I’m at home daily Memphis driver. I’ve lost count at how many guns I see just from working, let alone, commuting, back-and-forth to work or getting groceries and stuff. At this point I drive like a grandma in the city. Low and slow. You can either pass me, or forget about me. There’s days where it’s hard not to just say F you to the driver. Even truck drivers in the city are surprisingly pretty bad. Folks just run red lights stop signs and have no regard for oncoming traffic. They think they can pass you. They will no matter the vehicle.

I stopped you a little over 9 minutes into your video. A first time watcher, wanted to give you a chance and your title was interesting. You need to first, get details before you do any trucking news as you didn't even know who died in the school bus and you don't know in what situation the truck driver was shot. Second, your opinions leave much to be desired as you lump your beliefs that all corporations put profit before people as in this concrete company with police officers? Where is your head dude? Some cops are good some bad and the good don't say anything?? From where do you get this thinking? Take truck drivers, do we all confront every driver for parking in the fuel isle or throwing trash out the window, or do most just video the guy about to back into another truck, never getting out to help? But I digress, to say that the good cops "know" about the bad and don't do anything is naive and ludicrous on your side. As to the company, you hope they get sued into oblivion and everyone loses their jobs? Do you know who hired this reprehensible driver? Seriously guy, get more details before slamming everyone with your opinions. Couldn't go on when you started on road rage, we as truckers know it exists but most don't pull a gun and you had no idea how this driver was shot anyway! A month or so ago a trainee shot his trainer over some stupid argument, so rage can be anywhere.

Can’t find the answer to this online, but do you know how much time you get back after completing an 2/8 split sleeper? I took the 2 earlier and am on the 8 now how much time will I get back once I complete this 8 hours?

There’s some algorithm for that that I don’t understand but it is driven by how much of your clock you previously used. MAKE SURE YOUR 8 HOUR PORTION IS IN SLEEPER BERTH.

@@timtravels116 ended up getting 3:49 minutes of drive time back, I’m still not sure on how that is calculated but I think it’s the amount of drive time I used before I took the 2 hour break. And yeah I always throw it in sleeper, to make sure I get a full 8 hours in SB

Do you need to log a certain amount of "Sleeper Berth" time (rather than just "off-duty") when you take a 10-hour break (to reset your 11/14 clock), or does the duration of actual "sleeper berth" that you log only matter when splitting your clock?

You have to understand that without any kind of fence up there, the thoughts just sorta wander around aimlessly, grazing and trying not to get lost. I'm with him on that! The struggle is real. the first company i ever worked for was very strict on that being inside your trucc if your logged as being in sleeper birth, if i got out tha trucc in tha middle of tha night to take a dump i better have it in off duty. their reasoning is if i had got hit in tha trucc stop and they look at my logs and im not in the trucc id get in trouble for falsifying

That’s so stupid. First, I wear Depends to bed so I don’t have to get up. Second, if you got hit while going to per, the last of your worries would be the stupid logs. You’d be in an ambulance and not driving for awhile. And they hit you hard enough, you could retire.

@@timtravels116 yea man they were hard on us about that, roehl transport. but its more of thing like lets say i put it in sleeper but walk inside take a shower and somebody rips my bumper off....i come out dude took off and i have to make a police report. they told us we would end up having to send logs and could be issued a citation for falsifying the logs since we technically werent in tha sleeper....

I work for a small LLC that contracts with a big company. I am not a person that simply says something sucks without a solution to the problem. Corporate entities by and large are designed to exploit employees, customers, and competitors. That’s fine. Unlike others I simply recognize the layers of malfeasance and call it out. Any work is to create mutual benefit, a bargained for exchange. I get benefits I want from the arrangement with Prime and I understand what I sacrifice for those benefits.

It's literally impossible to be a functioning member of society without interacting with corporations. That said, bro you work for prime. Prime bosses you around, you drive a vehicle lathered in Prime's name, you have to follow Prime's rules, and you even advertise for Prime by wearing their logo on your steam. You work for Prime. If there is some middleman between you and Prime, they're just an extra hand taking a slice of your pie. You don't work for them, it's not their name in big letters on the side of your truck, it's not their name on your shirt. They're just some parasite leaching off your work.
