Anyone else blown away by the massive array of excellent new amplifier pedals, preamps and cool amp sim devices like this one?

We are absolutely spoilt for choice these days. There are so many cool products now. I love that Poly went for a more tactile (almost analogue) approach without any screens or menus. Just a simple interface to get good sounds.

Great demo. Going in depth very good. Thanks for going through some more extreme gain changes from clean to higher gain. The captures sound very well for sounding dynamic and not stagnant.

well, i was watching this video and finding it great, but then, THEN!!!!! you whipped out the prs s2 studio, literally my favourite guitar (i have a black satin one) you get a sub for that and that alone
@LeighFugeGuitarАй бұрын
Hahaha thank you so much! The S2 Studio is a real hidden gem in the PRS line I think. It’s a fantastic guitar! I love the stripped back style of the S2 range, and I don’t mind taking it on tour either because it’s not insanely priced!

@@LeighFugeGuitar The middle and neck pickups are possibly the best sounding SC design ever made.

Superb vidéo man, Can you use the A/B switch as a preset change for rehersal or live use ? CAN you disable the cab section too to run it throught a power Amp ? Best regards
@LeighFugeGuitarАй бұрын
Thanks for checking it out. At this stage, unfortunately it doesn't have presets, but Poly continually make firmware updates to products so I wouldn't be surprised if something like this gets added later down the line. However, the pedal does have MIDI so you could use MIDI for this purpose. You can also disable the cab if you want and run just the amp model on its own and use it into a power amp or cab sim pedal.

V expensive for what it is , great build etc but once I’m happy with a sound why do I need another 55 choices , any mid priced multi fx can do most of what this can do . Market is flooded with amp model stuff at mo , boss , line 6 etc , great for choice but for me this poly amp is option paralysis .. anyone , non pro , semi pro , use midi? pretty lights though 🙄

sounds good but how long will the touchscreen last! warranty period?
@LeighFugeGuitarАй бұрын
Most pedals come with whatever warranty your local dealer covers, but Poly are also incredibly responsive and helpful, they probably have some info on their website around warranties.

I had an ada mp1 back in the day. My rack also had an Alexis Quadraverb. It all sounded awful. Couldn’t sell them fast enough. (I like your channel, subscribed!)
@LeighFugeGuitarАй бұрын
It's a very specific sound for sure. I love the ADA MP1 sound because a lot of my favourite albums were recorded with one so I do have a soft spot for it haha! Thanks so much for subscribing! Appreciate you doing that.

Tried this Pedal, sounds good but Latency is clearly there, feels not good when playing

Sounds good Leigh, but maybe some models are lacking some gain or bite.
@LeighFugeGuitarАй бұрын
I'm not usually a high gain player so I probably didn't do those higher gain amps full justice with how I would dial them in too. The Treble control has quite a large range so you could definitely get plenty more bite when needed. The cool thing with this pedal is Poly always constantly upgrade firmware, so one thing I can see happening is amp gain ranges changes over time. As the user community provides feedback on what they want, Poly will most likely create firmware updates to address that. So I wouldn't be surprised if more gain is added at some point.

Sounds like a good company, cheers.

Can you switch off the speaker can to play this through the effects loop of an amp?
@heymrguitarman7637Ай бұрын
You can turn the speaker emulation off yes. Whether it would have enough output to run into a power amp bypassing the amps preamp, I don't know.

I really love the controls and the looks of the pedal. I can’t say I was impressed by the amp captures and sound though..😢
@tonray9395Ай бұрын
Ok..not impressed with Tonex, Quad CTX, etc etc...but this thing has the sounds and the cool futuristic/retro interface....I want one OMG I want it
@LeighFugeGuitarАй бұрын
I love the simplicity of the interface. I struggle to focus with digital products that take a long time to dial in or have a ton of menus. I like how simple this is and easy to get going with

That captures actually doesn't sound good to me. Cheaper Tonex One eats it for lunch. And I think that this pedal is made by hipsters. For hipsters. Not for rockers.
