So I have a question, what was the point of Batman faking his death? Wasn’t it to protect those he loves who were connected to him. I thought Batman was using the fear gas to still continue his work but also to stay a legend and to still be feared. But now that he’s out and about with the Justice League, did everyone close to him just adjust their lives? What was the point of the ending in Arkham Knight?

@@petrenicolae3282 Everyone still knows Batman is Bruce Wayne. Harley Quinn still says Bruce in the trailer of Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League. My thing is everyone knows Batman is still Bruce so how would that make him Batman full time or make people think he’s someone else under the cowl? This is an edit but I just had another idea. Maybe his death was to be Batman full time never having to pretend being Bruce Wayne. But doesn’t this still put his family at risk? Batman saying “it’s the only way to protect them” makes me think everyone thinking Bruce is dead will keep those around him safe. Now that he’s back, him faking it doesn’t matter anymore

I find it interesting how he has the yellow rebirth style outline on the bat logo in this comic, like in the “shadows“ trailer for the game. Honestly I kind of wish they kept that as part of the design in the game. Not only does it help differentiate the suit from some of the other Arkham costumes that little bit more, but this Batman Faked his death before Going through his own figurative “rebirth” as the demon bat

Anorld Wesker iirc is either dead (AC) or rehabilitated, prior to AA, one of those two. The new Ventriloquist is Peyton Riley, sometime during Arkham City or into Arkham Knight. She got the actually Scarface doll from him, probably stole it. So it is weird for Anorld to return.

My personal head cannon is that the 4 Arkham games take place in a separate earth then suicide squad ktjl, the comics then can either again be their own separate earth, or they could be the backstory for Batman on the earth that KTJL takes place. Then you can use the comics to fill in gaps from the Arkham games

Well it is said that flash put Boomer in Arkham and I’m pretty sure it said lantern put Floyd there in the game so maybe they are using Arkham as a place as I don’t see any real prison inside of metropolis and that is why Batman was there he was just dropping croc off

The dynamic doesn’t work, if everyone knows Bruce Wayne is Batman, there is no point in them not putting him in jail, froze assets and take away his stuff. Faking his death made sense cause no one would persue him or his loved ones, leaving him only to continue being Batman as an urban legend. I liked the comic but it seems weird to me that he can just show up and be Batman, seems like the last game’s ending didn’t have a point.

I'm convinced this game was never meant to actually be canon to the Arkham verse. Everything is just so hoky and taken so non serious that I'm led to believe that KTJL was meant to be a mean spirited standalone game with the JL basically being super powered jackasses (see The Boys) for the player to take down. It had to be this way until WB strong armed them into making a continuation of the Arkham series. So, the final product we got was an attempt for them to salvage the project while also probably attempting to meet a strict deadline and therefore we got the car crash that was this game.

Something I noticed in the panel where it showed the cell mates there where 2 inmates that looked like clay face this could mean that there’s some how 2 clay faces now or there’s so much of him they had to put 2 separate parts of him in different cells or the people making that panel messed up and just decided to leave it there for some reason

always bugs the hell out of me when one simple mistake makes something not canon. Prime example this comic, Batman and Waller seemingly meeting for the first time. Except Batman and Waller have met several times in the arkhamverse. Even if you ignore comics there's still the film "Assault on Arkham" which is also ignored in the game since it suggests that Harley and Boomerang have never been on the squad but Harley definitely has and Boomer's been on it at least twice
