Building your dream body is about more than what you do in the gym. It's about what you do in your mind-how you visualize your success and envision your legacy. Arnold Schwarzenegger pictured himself as a champion bodybuilder, and he built a blueprint to become just that. Whether you want to shred for a competition or lose weight for life, Arnold's Blueprint to Cut will help you succeed.

+DamnDesert If a guy's sitting there for 5+ minutes on a machine that doesn't really require much rest, sure, say something if that's ur thing. But sometimes I hear old school guys suggest nobody should use their phone ever in the gym, as if you can't even rest 3 minutes between a heavy set of squats and pick a different song to listen to. I'm old school about basic exercises, but I don't see any problem with using a phone in the gym. If I keep track of sets, reps, weights, exercises, etc., I'm gonna do it on my phone, I'm not gonna bring a notebook. Much bigger problem in gyms is when the only spot for chin ups is the handles attached to the cable machine and you have 2 or 3 dickheads doing biceps curls there for 45 minutes and posing in the mirror.

Reaves MO It was full-house and yeah he was there over 5 min on a the only standing hamstring curl machine in the gym. There were a few of us giving him the evil eye for throwing off our game plans. Normally I don't say anything but his obliviousness to the world primed me good that night.

He was right about those little victories. I had a vision of myself having a six pack last year. I was 236 at 6'1" and out of shape. I achieved my goal this week at 170 pounds. I almost shed a tear when I did 5 pull ups for the first. This gave me so much confidence to push forward.

Michael Bonyad yea there’s a weird period where not much is progressing and you feel like giving up because it’s taking so long but if you push through the slump the progress starts to come fast. I could barely do 2 pull ups 3 months ago, now I do 10 weighted. 155 lbs was a really hard squat for me, now I can rep out 155 like it’s nothing. All in just a few months

Good job! Keep it up! I’m 41 and started going back to the gym a week ago after not lifting in 17 years. I started walking a couple miles a day a few weeks ago. I’ve gained like 60 pounds over the years and now have an umbilical hernia. So I can only do a few things in the gym right now. Will be getting surgery in a few months though. Can’t wait to really get back into lifting. It crazy how much going to the gym regularly makes you feel so much better.

The way he talks about body building really can be applied to anyones hobby or passion with that mentality of always pushing yourself to that next level. It was a great event despite Arnold's less than perfect acting at the time, but the scenes presented in that film made it clear that the producers were genuine Conan fans, and we all loved the fact that Arnold was the spitting image besides! Awesome Inspiration - The most admirable thing about Arnold is that he often gives credit/mention to all the people in his life that inspired or helped him while working towards his goals. If that was only thing about him that I knew, that would be enough to admire him.... :0) He also is very truthful in these interviews about his strengths and weaknesses. He gives credit to a bodybuilder who was stronger in a certain area, and then uses that as a goal to achieve ... very smart. *** I always felt competing against opponents that were better than you in some way will elevate your skill. You will focus on trying to beat them so much that your skill is harnessed into becoming better. *** Playing against the odds to win, is also a great way to push yourself to become better. Thanks For Sharing This Video ...... :0)

Best part IMO 33:37. Arnold is a perfect example of a guy who realizes the body will adapt or die trying with whatever you throw at it, be it 1000 lbs on calf raises, 6 hours sleep every night, and 18 hours of go-go. If you want achievement, the only person holding you back is yourself. In his book he also mentions that after his first competition in which he placed second, he was at first pleased because he expected 4th or 5th. Paraphrasing, he wrote, "I was happy until I got in my head and realized I beat my expectations, so why then didn't I set them higher?" Shortly after he writes, "From then on I was always going for the top. If you were inside my head you would hear, 'I am the best, just get out of my way, you are slowing me down.'

+Herbie Hancock Don't Worry about that man ... do what you have to do in order to improve! Everyone you see in the gym; why are they there ? ... because they want to look better, lose fat, gain muscles, become fitter and strive to be the best version of their physical selves they can be. WHen i started training 7 years ago _ i weighed 50kgs, very similar to where you are now ... it took me 5 years to eventually reach 70kgs LBM and another year after that to reach 75kgs... KEEP Training, don't stop, dont look back and do not underestimate your potential! If you feel too self concious to flex after a set and train the tone of your muscle contraction at the gym , do it after your workout when you get home, in your own privacy.but DO NOT neglect this part of conditioning ... it is Crucial for muscle growth, really it is... if you dont focus on Pectoral tone, your delts and tri's are always going to want to dominate your presses. and the same goes for your lats, hamstrings and glutes.Good luck with your training and nutrition man, keep grinding and don't give up!Hit me up if you ever require help with the nutritional side of things, so that you can get that weight up! :)

***** More like work your bottom out. Training isn't always very simple, but what is simple is that you need to get to it, and work out good, lots of, and hard. You also need a goal or you don't know where you are going to, and you need a way how to get there. Maybe you didn't work out enough or correctly, but then you need to find out how to work out. Also, of course working out takes time. If your health has dropped, you need to exercise first your health up before you can move upward.

This is literally 42 minutes of gold, dude. Thank you all for the creation of this interview, and for allowing him to truly speak freely. Pure knowledge and wisdom, even Bruce Lee would agree. Talking about volume is to get that metabolic burn that you body so badly needs in order to trigger new muscle growth.

I like how some of these comments mention steroids. You can't sit on your ass and take steroids and look like Arnold did. Regardless it takes hard work and long hours at the gym. #HatersGonnaHate #AintersGonnaAint

Yes but people need to understand and discuss this subject in a mature manner, because working out for 5 hours on the volume they do is unrealistic for natural people, and will get you injured and demotivated.

Azodin You're right, if he talks about all the long hours of hard training and all the food that he had to consume...then he should also talk about the role of Steroids. He's not taking them anymore for bodybuilding purposes...he did it many years ago when it was legal... so what's the problem ? Dorian Yates as well as Lee Priest do.

Farshad86 He's addressed his steroid consumption. A couple times is enough, he doesn't need to talk about it over and over, every time he does an interview, that would be dumb and wouldn't help anyone interested in training.

The ROIDERS are too SCARED to come off of the STEROIDS because they would LOSE all their "size" and "strength"! This just proves that the ONLY difference is the STEROIDS between someone that uses and not uses! The difference is NOT because they lift weights, eat and sleep. People that lift WITHOUT STEROIDS do that! You are NOT FOOLING us! Lift weights WITHOUT STEROIDS and let's see how "big" & "strong" you REALLY are! Stay natural buddy!
