🙋🏻♀️PLEASE, ALLOW ME TO EXPLAIN SOMETHING EXTREMELY PERTINENT TO YOUR STATEMENT (and with a grain of salt)... 💁🏻♀️These 2 beautiful people have been married nearly half a century and when you are sooo perfect with, not only for, each other that you are already 10 steps ahead of and/or in a conversation it is inevitable what will APPEAR to be talking over each other when in fact it is simply an auto-response between 2 individuals who may be passionate about the subject and/or situation being shared...Papa has explained this repeatedly, and Nana as well, how it bothers neither of them and it's purely complimentary between their personalities.😊

Yes, i absolutely love this style! Also in the idea of “i can’t fix you, but i can fix me”… i learned early in my marriage, that if there is a problem with us, or with me and someone at church, i need to start praying for the other person, and God ALWAYS took care of my situation and softened my heart to boot! One of the commenters stated that Nana Susan needs her own channel. I agree 100%! As a pastors wife, and being married for almost 50 years, she would have so much advice for young married women. I’m 61 (almost 62 now) and my husband and I have been married for 42 years, and I just know that I could learn from you as well. Thank you both for sharing your wisdom and time. {{{hugs}}}

He does interrupt or over-talk on occasion, but who doesn't? Especially if they're passionate about a subject. Susan is a patient and wise woman who gets in her thoughts, even if it's to the point! 😉👍 that is how a great marriage works. There is always a dominant personality. The less dominant needs to be patient, but still be bold enough to still be heard... 😁 and as you become more self-aware... you realize you're sometimes too bold, so you reign it back. Always give and take my friend 😊🙏

My husband and I think the same, we know what the other person is going to say. He cracks us up. We do everything together. It’s actually very rare to see one without the other. We truly are each other’s best friend. I’ve been sick since 2016, and he has been by my side the whole time. I couldn’t ask for a better husband! God has definitely blessed our marriage. We have gone through a lot, but that is what strengthened our relationship!

I do believe it's important to see yourselves as others do. Personally, I am a takeover the conversation type. I had to learn to listen more and talk less. When I caught Sunday School the first time, I thought it was most important what I said. I had so much to learn, more than my students did. They taught me soo much more.

good talk !!! One issue would be if you are a "bottom-line" blunt person and you are speaking with a passive aggressive person who hides all things blunt. We can all only polish off our rough edges so much and then we just don't want to communicate with that soul , it's too hard to be ones self and still maintain their desires of "subtle ".

I was having a meeting in my classroom with parents and one parent started speaking unaware of the other parents. She just talked and talked repeating herself. She was totally out of line. Parents started leaving, she was clueless to the fact that she rudely allowed no other parent to speak or ask questions. Talk about self-awareness!!!

Okay, all in fun and honesty but not serious criticism. First, yes, you ate constantly and you are not self aware of your viewers as i wanted to know what it was you could not stay out of and you never shared that info, and you did gnosh constantly while talking constantly lol. Again no offense meant. Were you a former smoker or drinker? That would explain it. Were you nervous? Self awareness right? All meant in lightness. On a bit more serious note, I was married to a man who walked fast and ahead of me where I came from a family where I'd expect him to watch out for me and all to watch out for each other and even take the guiding, NOT the rushing and running off and walking off as if on their own. We would go to the same area in another country every year for a dozen years where we got to know many but tourists varied year to year, you'd see some you had met before who also did an annual trip if you just happened to hit at the same time. No one acted like him and all noticed. He was NEVER aware of ANYONE else, rude as heck, but as his wife, oh boy did it get old. We'd be heading for a day out and others are ambling along the sidewalk holding hands or at least side by side and he is two blocks ahead of me and I can't keep up. I mentioned it to him time after time, year after year. I came to realize this was everything he was and he was selfish in all respects and sometimes even intentionally doing things like this. I'm not saying at all that you are like that but it IS very non self aware and very self interested on top of it. You may prefer to travel alone and just get from here to there but you are WITH someone or OTHERS this time. The first car drive trip I ever took with him, he is get from point A to point B seven hours, ten, twelve whatever away and he'd stop when HE had to pee and I had to tell him, I don't travel this way ever and do you think I maybe might not have to go before you do or an hour later and what is the damned rush? I like to enjoy travel and be relaxed EVEN IF a serious trip for a serious reason. To get to my point, we are divorced now after many years of marriage and I am starting over way too late in life and that's another story BUT these were signs of all that he was. I'm sure I'm not totally self aware and as you say I don't think anyone is or ever will be, but some of it is just consideration that you are not the only soul on this earth that is affected by your behavior.
