I think the thing with Loot Crate is that a lot of people are turning away from it because you can usually find the "exclusive" stuff online for super cheap, or just check your local thrift shop or dollar store. I'm serious on that last one. Remember the Terminator head replica? Saw like 20 of them at a Dollar General one time, Loot Crate logo and everything, for like $5 a piece. Not even just that, either. A lot of other mystery subscription boxes popped up that offer more stuff or less items that are actually super cool and you can see love and care went into them and it's not just a corporate shill.

I have the Batman Q-Fig. I got t at a local discount supermarket (in the UK) for £5. Then I got the Hulk one from eBay for £1 / £4 including delivery. They currently sit on my desk between my two computer screens.

Ashens! You should know that the plastic Expanse spaceship is pretty much the first actual piece of merch that we’ve been able to get out of the series. Even though they’re about to release the third season. I’m betting they spent all the money on that - I thought the box was a bit light too. Still bought it for the ship though.

The Expanse is a series of like 7 or 8 novels and novellas that are loosely attached to the same universe as The Martian, and season 3 of the TV adaptation is about to come out in a month or two.

I haven't seen the show The Expanse but it's based on a series of books. Only read the first one, Leviathan Wakes but it was pretty good. An interesting blend of action-packed sci-fi and hardboiled detective mystery with a dash of cosmic body horror. It's nothing ground breaking but recommended if you want something fairly fast-paced and entertaining.

When I was a kid I had an inordinate amount of nightmares and one day my dad got me a present: the nearby video store was selling some of its cardboard poster things they'd put throughout the store to promote new movies coming out on rental and he got me a Robocop 3 one so I had Alex Murphy standing guard behind my bed, and one night I had a particularly bad string of repeated nightmares about a black shadowy blob of something that would paralyze me while I'm in bed and then proceed to hurt me until I woke up, and at long last in the final nightmare Robocop walked out of his poster and onto my bed and then beat the living shit out of the blob monster thing with his fists alone. Since then I had much less nightmares than I'd used to. It's weird but I can totally see that batman led light having the same purpose for some other scared kid. You need to know there's a hero that keeps you safe from harm, be it your dad or a cyborg or a man who lost his parents and wants to keep this from happening to other kids in the city.

I fell asleep in the theater during attack of the clones. When did they bang? I read this one fanfic that involved Yoda being their child due to a demon fetus implant during the pod race. "You will be. You will be, grandpa" It really makes the story more interesting when every character is another character's relative\dad\grandpa\son Kinda like inbred redneck Star Wars Fun fact trivia: in the 19th century the term "making love" actually meant proposing to a woman.
