I started with spray can too but now I realised that airbrush could save more money for long term use. And with airbrush you can do a lot of things and it much easier to control especially for this tiny modelling purpose.

Thats a brilliant idea for your spray booth, so air can go through the tiny holes and stuck in there.

Actually it’s not really recommended. This kind of spray booth only good for those who just want to start the hobby. If you have more budget, get the one with exhaust fan instead.

How do you usually keep your KK Moon compressor stay in place? mine is shaking furiously all over my desk. Also where do you keep your compressor while painting? Some help would be appreciated, thanks!

hahaha I experience this too actually but what I did to solve the issue I put it on a small desk and the small desk I put under my working desk (since the air hose is not too long). I put some sponge double tape like under the compressor and it stay in place.

The piston ring started to worn out and the air output become so bad though. More worst when it's really hard to get replacement

If you’re about to get a ‘mini’ airbrush compressor, I think you’re going to face the same issue in another 5 months or year because they use the same mechanism so I suggest to get a real air compressor instead. I’m getting a new air compressor here kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIDNeXiKe8drppo I think the price is reasonable maybe you can check it and I hope you like it

nice! btw can you do fine lines without overspray on that compressor? i believe it only spray at 25 to 35 psi which is quite high for doing gradients. i tried several times and changed the pressure/thinning a lot but always get overspray. maybe the psi is just too high

Hi there I’m sorry for the late reply. I never try this to do gradient or thin line before since I mostly use this for modelling purpose. But I still believe you are able to do gradient or thin line with this cheap mini air compressor but I’m not guaranteed how good it is.

Sorry for the late reply but here’s the best explanation I found on google. Double action airbrush delivers air when the trigger is pressed down, and a varying amount of paint depending on how far the trigger is pulled back in a second motion.

I brought this very same Airbrush, unfortunately mine did not work at all :( think it may have just been a defective one as lots of reviews say they are great. It really does look awesome though

I’m sorry to hear that but do you ask the seller for the refund for that defective item? I bought this also because of other reviews videos and yes it is good and worth buying for beginner

@@asmrbuildtv thanks for your reply :) I did indeed ask for a refund on this one. I think mine was just a dud as there are way more positive reviews than negative. The finish itself was brilliant too, the colour cup is really well polished 👍 I've had great experiences with cheaper airbrushes before now think I just got a bad egg :)

I use it a lot back then almost everyday since I did a commission work for my friend’s shop. After 5 months, I found the piston ring inside the compressor started to worn out and the air output is really low causing the paint cannot be sprayed. It’s sad that I can’t find any of the replacement. However the compressor is still functioning only the piston is the problem.

There’s a piston ring inside the compressor (near the motor) and it going to worn out someday after a long time of using. It’s really hard to find the replacement for that since it’s really small in size.

Yes this is 0.2mm and you can change it either to 0.3mm or 0.5mm as well by changing the nozzle and needle size
