@@zenwhispers Thanks! Depending on how creators monetize their videos, youtube may be more advantageous financially, but for me, based on listen time, Spotify and other audio platforms are way more profitable. As I don't put video ads on youtube, if you don't have a youtube premium subscription I make less than 1 cent. If you listen to the same story on Spotify, which is equivalent to +/- 15 streams, I make 4 or 5 cents. But if you have youtube premium, half your fee goes to creators based on the time you spend on their videos and I earn more having you on youtube.

French Whisperer :: I am a huge fan of your work. I may be the only one, but I am having a troublesome experience. I fall asleep to your voice to soothe the self and it works... until I get to the end of many of the videos. The fire crackling at the end always wakes me up and disturbs my dreams. I don't know if it is a synthetic fire sound, or what happens, but my favorite pieces of yours end with a long fire crackling and I can't figure out what to do! Any suggestions? Thank you for your work - I really am sad about this problem.

For years, I'm falling asleep to your voice. I'm learning new things to your voice, calming down after a bad day at the office to your voice, easing my anxieties with your voice. I wash dishes listening to "Wonder of Trees". I fold laundry listening to "Impressionist Journey". I lie back on the couch listening to "The Theory of Relativity (For Dummies)" and just let all of the craziness and the crap (pardon my... French?) melt away. When you came back, I literally jumped for joy. My kids even asked me what I was so excited about. And since you've come back, both the quantity and the quality of the content have skyrocketed. I know I'm gushing, but I just have to do my very best to tell you how much I appreciate what you do. Vous êtes une bouée de sauvetage. (God, I hope I can trust Google translate... :D)

Beautiful video. I appreciate you taking the time to discuss Wagner's antisemitism and his popularity with the Nazis. Some people would skip over that because it's an uncomfortable conversation to have, but sometimes the most uncomfortable conversations are the most important. As for the possibility of certain figures in the story being antisemitic caricatures, I will say that I have heard of dwarves being used as antisemitic caricatures (being greedy and obsessed with gold being a common antisemitic stereotype that's also been applied to dwarves in high fantasy), but I can also say I don't know enough about the Ring or Wagner himself to be able to confidently say he did or didn't intend that.

Although my favorite at the moment is the new Greek mythology video with the Trojan War, I wanted to comment on this one because I like how it taught to Germanic beliefs and Norse could have its own 3+ hour video. It would be awesome to do some background on other Barbarians. Britannia and the Druids is something everyone has heard of, but nothing deep. Also the Huns and Atila. I guess this is because they didn’t record their own history. Lastly I am definitely missing / having trouble finding the supposed god king Alexander the Great. Would love to hear this story in ASMR.
