When I finished the game a year ago I always hated the fact that Marie died, that Anne should have died in her stead. This is one of those games that were somewhat overlooked because of the different direction the devs went with what they wanted to create. The diolouge, the story, the action, and the characterization in this game are truly outmatched. Never before had I thought a game like Assassin's creed would drive sympathy into my heart for Blackbeard of all historical figures. I still replay this game today, merely to listen to the incredible scripting of the diolouge from each unique individual character in the story. I hope and pray to this day that this game gets a remaster someday. God bless the devs that helped conjure this masterpiece. 💙

i agree with that, i'd like to know more about what happen to desmond's crew other than the cameos/undercover parts in black flag. Although i do also think that they shouldn't have done the modern world story, though it does explain skipping scenes and such.
@nilslange87619 жыл бұрын
Well I think the modern day stuff is crucial to the game. It makes the parts in the past more interesting because you are always finding out more about who the people that came before us where... It is indeed very complicated and Ubisoft would do good by creating content that clears the air a little bit! But youre right about the undercover stuff... No one really likes it.

The modern day stuff was just horrible in this game. I've been wishing they would just scrap it entirely and focus more on the past for a while now. Maybe with just a cut scene in the introduction revealing that you (the player) are using an animus and are tasked with collecting data and then just leave it at that until another cut scene during the end credits. It's the worst thing when you're so focused on the story line after a few missions only to be ripped out of the game play and forced to play through this boring first person segment - go here, listen to this woman ramble on about something, and then do some crappy mini game before you can continue playing the real game - it's just immersion breaking. All the time they're wasting putting in this modern day crap story could be spent further developing the interesting parts. Freedom Cry was a slice of heaven after this. Just being able to play the game and not be ripped out of it to do some daft mini games was really refreshing.

Fuck the modern day segments.
@2KXMKR9 жыл бұрын
***** At least with Desmond it made sense. Using the past to find out where something is hidden and then revisiting that location centuries later. The modern section in Brotherhood when you are roaming the Colosseum was pretty awesome, and it did feel like you were training Desmond, building him up to be a bad ass assassin.... and then they kill the main villain.... and then they kill Desmond! What was even the point in any of the modern day stuff after that? BF's modern day sections were just pointless. Who the hell are these people and why should i even care after 5 games worth of backstory is rendered pointless?
@Killzoneguy1179 жыл бұрын
MickMaan Honestly, I find the whole concept of the Animus to be retarded. It answers a question that literally no one asked. No one cares or wonders how they're playing as a character from 500 years ago. Just like no one cares how they're playing as a dragon hunting viking in a mystical land or former gunslinger seeking redemption in the Old West. I've always found the modern day sections to be pointless, irrelevant and completely unnecessary. The fact is, I frankly do not care what Desmond or anyone else in the 21st Century was or is thinking. It honestly would have been better to just keep these as independent but connected stories.

That's true, but if you are really interested in the series, go and read about the whole story at assassins creek wiki. Google it. I also want to add, (SPOILERS ALERT)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- edward was killed by a former friend who became very interested in the skull that makes you see through people's eyes, not sure if that what it really does. Anyway, kenway's former friend is a templar and edward didn't know, his daughter however, know's and went to tell edward about it but he was killed and the templar took and raised haythem. The daughter was sold to a turkish trader as a slave (not sure if he is a trader). One more thing, haythem's mother is not the mother of his "step"sister . I'll leave the rest for you to explore.

Thanks for this video! I play AC4 with russian voicing and came here to see if they missed something with the translation and dubbing. Ofc they did (little nuances), but still both versions are brilliant work and both have my favorite lines, intonations, humour and emotions. I especially liked how in russian they emphasized the word in that scene when Edward says Hornigold is green-eyed cuz Kenway's ship is BIGGER :D Man, that word made my day, no, my month! And I was wondering if I could notice any Welsh accent... of course I couldn't, sorry Edward! xD Still you've got great voicing thx to Matt Ryan.

they did a great job agin ezio in ac2 and ofcourse In the others but Edward looked the same age the whole game. nothing changed. I think they game started off with him as a 21yr old and ended as a 35 yr old was it? either way he didn't age. as I was playing ac2 back in 09' I was amazed how he went from a 17yr old to a 27yr old then to a 40yr old. it looked so good. don't know why they didn't use that in black flag. either way two absolutely amazing games.

@RetryOfHealGuy10 жыл бұрын
royalclub148 The whole storyline was always about Assassins VS Templars. Not Desmond.

ShenWooXIII lmfao yet they kept other characters why?
@RetryOfHealGuy10 жыл бұрын
***** Because the other characters are Assassins and Templars?
@Valentina053710 жыл бұрын
ShenWooXIII Is the simple fact that one of the main characters, who is constantly kidnapped is not going to appear again.

So many lines I love in this game. > We do not plunge headlong into folly on the orders of a single madman, but act according to our own collective madness! > A bad excuse is better than none at all. > If a man plays the fool, then it's only fools he'll persuade. But appear to be the Devil, and all men will submit. > Why fly a black flag when a black beard will do? > In a world without gold, we might have been heroes! > Don't save me a spot in Hell. I ain't coming soon. > Julien du Casse's dying words, in French: "Que l'enfer que tu trouveras soit le fruit de ton insouciance."

@nerolia_gaming80305 жыл бұрын
Yep, AC4 is a great game. So well done it will be good for years. Can't say that about AC2, totally out of date, too oldschoolish (or better say old-fashioned in the way it IS DONE), dull, inconvenient and pissing off with it's mechanics and so on. The only thing left for this game is old fans' nostalgic feelings. Ubisoft has no right to sell for money this old piece of sh:t, pardon me. Let it be just a milestone in history, but not a way to spend your time, not anymore.
