The combat in AC, removing pieces of armor to justify the health draining, that's pretty clever, and honestly a great new direction for the combat. Also unarmed enemies seem to die as soon as they're hit with the weapon. So perhaps this marks a shift into realistic combat mechanics.The damage sponges from rpgs might be a thing of the past, which is great news. Nothing hurts more the evolution of combat in videogames than this, life bars and enemy sponges must die

Heres my honest opinion: As an Assasin's creed player that started with AC 1 (tho in 2017) AC Shadows look's sick but again not like an Assasin's creed game (at least not Yasuke's gameplay) But it has been like that with a few of the recent AC games. Ghost of Thushima feels like a copy of some of the older RPG AC games like Origins, for example at 6:10 the animation of stiking his hand out is the exact same in Origins. But im not blaming them they did a great job making a fantastic game and i liked playing it. AC Shadows is what some would call a copy of Thushima but Ubisoft have been going with this style of AC games since Origins now and they then make one in Feudal Japan (Wich a lot of games takes place in) and its just called a cheap copy. Thushima is just AC Origins in japan using many of the same features! Even tho ubisoft got a lot of hate after odyssey and valhalla (Wich is a game i personally enjoyed a lot) i think this will be a good comeback with both the old style with the ninja and the RPG style with Yasuke! Just my opinion please let me know if you agree or disagree!

The problem for me is that it's the same situation as Valhalla. Valhalla was a good game overall but had absolutely nothing to do with the assassins creed. But as a viking game it was 10/10. I don't know if Shadows is RPG or not, but you now have two characters, Yasuke is for the new AC players who played the game since Odyssey, Naoe is for the old players who want to play AC in its original gameplay style. If you don't like the heavy combat in AC, you can progress through the game with Naoe as a choice for all missions to come.

@@aspookyscaryskeleton1474 assasins creed Unity was fixing its vast majority of bugs and that game had an exaggerated amount, that makes me think that Ubisoft earned a very bad reputation because of this and many people highlight their bugs but do not realize that the games have improved a lot around this and that the amount of busgs you found before is no longer at all comparable, I have played assasins creed Origins and Odissey for hours both complete and I have not found more than 200 hours of play a single bug in either and in fact I've been looking for them because I play very crazy and doing things that defy many times the logic of the game and take it to the limit and in all this time I still have not found a highly obvious or significant bug to highlight it, so I think Ubisoft has really changed their quality around the games but I think people got stuck with the perception of the bad reputation that initially came out of AC. Unity and has not been able to get out of that well (as what happened to Cyberpunk 2077 and No Man's Sky) that although they have improved their respective qualities still many people maintain a bad view towards them for these same reasons.

The differences will be size and scope, traversal, and a weak narrative. Versus, pretty graphics, strong narrative, and choreographed traversal. I think the combat will be similar, but Jim's samurai bag will be deeper with the 4 stances (I saw two). They basically split one character into two, bad choice unless the narrative is surprisingly strong. I don't see that working, but maybe they aren't going for the serious tone. I forsee a bunch of Ghost fans being upset that this isn't Ghost 2 and we have to settle for this.

I feel this video doesn’t even do ghost of Tsushima justice. Lol. At least playing with the controller (and playing it properly without trying to assassinate a target from 50 meters away with someone in between) makes it look so cinematic and makes you feel badass. Combat is so fluid too. Of course there’s some things that are kind of annoying like the horse riding and parkour and stuff but overall, ghost seems like way more fun, gameplay wise and visuals too. Of course we can’t conclude that shadows is clearly inferior since we can’t play it yet but even from the gameplay video, animations look stiff and graphics don’t look too great either. What the hell is with those particle effects? The they didn’t even try to make the blood look 3D. Just solid red colored dots with no shadows or reflections to make it look like they’re three dimensional objects and not just red colored 2D textures.

Using the E3 trailer, which was leagues above the actual GoT gameplay was a bad move imo. That being said, combat still looks better in GoT but stealth and movement is nowhere close to AC

a black character in a game based on feudal japan doesn't bother me, what bothers me is the stupid people who think this is an idea taken from current correct politics, clouding their brain from the ability to discover a new character based on a historical character existing in real life and some say that his participation is not justified just because of his simple skin color and others because of historical inconsistencies, but the point is that they chose him for that!
