What really slows down the Valkyrie are the tires Aston Martin decided to not make a custom tire with Michelin and instead use a standard cup 2 rs which can take a certain amount of load, so the Valkyrie has to bleed downforce at a certain speed to not overload the tires that coupled with the increase weight of the car which is more load for the tires so less max downforce, and you have a slower than expected car.

@F1ll1nTh3Blanks4 күн бұрын
6:10 is very optimistic here. Personally I expect 6:35-6:40 stock on Cup 2R rubber. Maybe it could be significantly quicker, like simulations suggest but I think we are relying a lot on simulations and underestimating the effect the surface will have on the cars ability to have consistent grip over the lap. The car has active aero and suspension that already has its work cut out, dumping downforce so the tyres can make it through the lap. I feel like it will take the Cup 2R beyond their limits for the times you're asking here, the car is already traction limited at conventional circuits like Sakhir and Silverstone.. This is if btw, (which I doubt), if they can find a decent set up after all. Anything under 6:20 is calling for unrealistic conditions imo. I just don't think you can expect that same level for the Nordschleife but.. even if it's just to prove a point, I hope they try.
