Bought Asus Gtx 1080 ti OC strix, at 2100mhz and 12000mhz mem clock (can reach 12400 but unstable on some games). With default fan speed can reach 2050mhz, 80%-100% fan speed=2100mhz clock speed. Average temp for default fan speed is 50-68C max and 39-53C for 75%-100% fan speed. Ambient temp is around 30-35C. This is how good this card is. RGB wise nothing to say as it is a pretty card and I doesn't care much about those lights.

Its just good to rely on a non OC. It's all about binning chips from manufacturers. Not all of them come up with the same ASIC quality and not all cards are deemed safe to overclock.

I ordered this 3 and a half weeks ago but they have only just shipped it today, i can't wait!! :D, i used to have a Founders Edition but it would get SOOOO hot, as in so hot that in Doom i was seeing graphical artifacts because of the heat, around 95 degrees+ on load , hopefully this will be much more stable then that unprofessional shit... they shouldn't release such expensive hardware without at least "good" heating.

Is there something wrong with the output on the DVI port? I am connecting a 144hz monitor to it but screen is black. The same DVI cable and monitor on another machine works like a charm. The monitor only supports HDMI and DVI. The HDMI connection works, but I only get 60hz. Please let me know because I have tried everything to get the DVI to work

I picked up the OC version last week. At first I was a little disappointed only getting a 75MHz O/C on it, regardless of how much voltage I added (temp and power limit over to full). But I noticed that in game it's averaging about 2015MHz @ 55*C. I'm still curious if I can get any more speed out of it by extra cooling (the thermal pads and heatsink on the back plate), but not sure if it's possible.

Guys it's not complicated so let me spell it out for you. ALL 1080 ti perform within the same range of eachother, the marginal differences are determined by: Silicon lottery, thermals and build quality. Seeing as silicon lottery is random the ONLY thing you can do to make sure you get a 1080ti that performs marginally well is to buy one that excells at thermals and build quality.

Honestly, the OC version is arguable worse than the normal version. The higher base clockspeed does not offer you any more performance over the normal one, it just costs more. You can just OC the normal one on your own and actually, not even needed since ALL 1080ti clock themselves up to around 2GHz anyways.

I've been using this particular 1080ti since release. I can still run most games at high settings 1440p 144 fps. No card could beat the 1080ti's price to performance ratio... until today, when the 3000 series cards were announced. Western Gents United Hi mate, I'm currently runing a G1 gaming edition 980ti, I'm thinking of buying this Asus 1080ti as an upgrade. I'm running an i7 4770k @4.5 and the 980ti on a 600 watt PSU. I know this card says recommended 600 watt minimum, and I only plan on using the out of the box clock speeds with gpu3 boost ( no manual overclocking) until I upgrade my PSU. So do you think I'll be ok with this card on 600 watts for now out of the box or will it kill it:). Could really do with the advice before going ahead.

Eazy Ryder 100% agree. Zotac is a better card all around. Just comes down to brand preferences. So so happy with my 1070 amp extreme. Can't wait for my 1080ti to come tomorrow!!

Zotac does beat strix. I had both with 1080 chip and now 1080 ti. Zotac is cooler, quiter and more solid. not to mention zotac gives you 5 year warranty and possibility to change thermal paste withoud voiding warranty.
