Atheists Watch… Night At The Creation Museum (feat Shannon Q)

Hammy New Year! Eric Hovind and Tim Chaffey of Answers in Genesis created a movie at the Creation Museum... AT NIGHT! The museum comes alive as they uncover the mysteries of God’s amazing Creation, explore the worldwide flood, and give you answers from Genesis!
Eric Hovind plays as Derrick Dailey, a security guard skeptical of Christianity on a temp assignment guarding the Creation Museum in Northern Kentucky. Adventure ensues as the museum exhibits and Jim (AIG's Tim Chaffey) are determined to open Derrick's mind to the truth of Scripture. Danny Faulkner and his trusty sidekick Teddy also appear in the film.
Shannon Q and Paulogia continue their Hammy New Year tradition of a relaxed review of the holiday antics of Ken Ham and his Answers in Genesis crew. It's a two-part movie, so this will be a two-part holiday special. Stay tuned next week for the "Atheists Watch... Night at the Ark Encounter" finale.

Jesus stands in the middle and a bit below/towards us smiling with both hands out towards the sides and above his right shoulder Ken stands bent forward in the put em dukes up stance with a rage face facing the Trex on the right above Jesus left shoulder and they're both about to throw down like two boxers or something for the position of holy father. In the background theres a big Christmas tree. Oh and in the 1st Version instead of the tree it's that Christmasy ring you hang on doors and above fireplaces(I don't remember their name.) I would Love those two shirts to be a thing. XD

the teddy bear is their attempt to reference the museum movie where the monkey and Ben slap each other, but all their special effects went for the title so we get this psychotic scene

The scene of him slapping the teddy bear back and forth was a reference to the original movie, where the monkey does the same thing with Ben Stiller. Also the name “Dexter” was used here since this name was ascribed to the monkey, and Lucy is obviously just a silly monkey

Not precisely. I have a lot of questions about their claims, that God did it, would fail to answer, at least well. Like: How can they show the bible is accurate? Why is the bible so vague, inconsistent, or even contradictory? Or how are all the YEC claims so scientifically bad, and still maintained? On the other hand, "why is there evil?" does fit that answer pretty well. Probably more accurate to say their answer would be "the bible tells us the answers". I mean we're talking about answers in Genesis here... But if you're referring to them trying to explain things they don't understand, that does seem to be their go to answer.

Tim complains about artistic license making up what Lucy looked like (even ignoring that it was based on evidence). Meanwhile, he works for a museum that uses artistic license to invent what the "kinds " were and looked like, gave the Ark a ram, invented the names of the wives on the Ark, said dinosaurs were vegetarian, invented staterooms and skills for the Ark passengers, said the Ark had a greenhouse and oven, claimed Pangea formed in a few weeks and broke up in weeks, say an Ice Age formed after the flood, claim that there was enough food and freshwater to go around, that the small animals were kept in clay urns, that pre-flood humans fought dinosaurs in colosseums, that all rocks can be formed in a flood, and that Behemoth was a dinosaur and not a elephant. Among a lot of other things. That is no evidence for any of these things, but Tim made placards and illustrations and models depicting these things.... hmmm

If they had any of either, the other one would grow as well. ell, unless they're a sociopath, but only a small percentage of people are sociopaths and a huge percentage of people is really fucking stupid. Anyway, those are the same reasons why they can't answer simple questions like: why is there so much evil and suffering in the world, and head straight into wishful thinking and divine vengeance and blind faith to simplify the universe to a binary question: are you evil or a god worshiper? It also tends to kill the most logical follow up question: how can I help to reduce it? Because why would you if you have faith in a loving god that has a plan?

That's a terrible question, not a better one. I asked for peer reviewed studies from creationists which help explain their model, it's non existent. So they should be embarrassed. Evolution, on the other hand, has mountains of evidence. Creationists claim its debunked, but I have watched many hours of creationist content, and its simply not supported by peer reviewed literature. It's literally all rhetoric.

Did enzyme systems evolve? What did the humans or prehumans do befor all the enzymes were in place.? A lack in any one of them causes minor to major problems. Even the minor problems mount up to major probs. Most of the enzymes are large and crazy complex. Cant blame that on natural selection. Those fantastic enzymes are also coded in our DNA. This rules out happy accidents. have you ever done in depth study of enzymes? Even plant enzymes are beyond accidents. Obvious design. Of course you will say its all happy accident. Photo voltaic cells, the eye, a electric video camera, all happy accidents. its a free country, theres no big deal if thats what you believe.

In "Night at the Museum" I think that Ben Stiller's character was shaving, face covered in lather, when he ended up trading back and forth slaps with a small monkey. I think that the monkey name was Dexter, so that may be two mysteries solved.

Paulogia and Shannon! I think it's great that you've befriended Eric, if that has happened. I realize he's still using all his father's material to get those big bucks, but I'm not sure how much chance at anything else he had. I believe, having heard kent promote the 'spare the rod, spoil the child' crap, that he was probably abused as a child, beyond just indoctrination. Plus, I doubt he was ever allowed a real education. To my knowledge, he doesn't visit, nor take his kids to see kent. That is why, during his debate with AronRa, (admittedly quite awhile ago) kent begged eric to bring the kids and see him, it had been years. Anyway, great to see you guys together! Have fun!
