That's the most beautiful parts car I ever seen. Put the glass in. Put it all in primer or painted. But whatever you do to it it's still going to look good. I also have a 1964 Galaxie 500. The car looks amazing keep doing what you doing.

I am grinning as much as you are, so cool to see it driving. My thoughts: get it all in primer, then glass it, then go to town on the interior. Drive it and have fun with it, paint can happen later. Great job Craig!

And to think my Mom threw one of those away on a street in Montreal in 1969....enjoy your rides man, you're only young once.

You have done an incredible job with the parts Car. As far as paint goes, you have done so much work to this thing, it deserves to be painted. Honestly I'm thinking a T-shirt for the car to help finance the paint job. You make one, I'll buy 1! Good luck with the rest of the car.

There's nothing quite like the feeling of a shakedown run. Personally I would put the glass in and iron out the bugs before painting it, however there's a lot of cars out there that never progressed past that stage.

Put the glass and interior in and drive it. Make it reliable and fun to drive, once it's all dialed in and you start to get bored with it, then paint it and "make it nice". I've learned this is how you keep a long term project. I prefer the ratty look with nice wheels and a nice engine bay.

I think the headliner goes in before the front and rear glass. If you do glass first it may have to come back out for headliner to be installed. Craig, your so close to having it ready for color, do the little bit and get it sprayed. It doesn't have to be a fancy paint job, but definitely spray it. Better yet, do what Hot Rod did years ago, roll it on multiply of times and color sand it out. Then buff it out. Keep it cheap

I'm very proud of you ,Marty and the gang to finally getting this car on its 1st test drive! Its been a long time I've been following you on your Galaxie projects. I just have a couple of questions, that engine compartment looks sharp! Is that the same 352 that came with the car??? Today the engine looks clean, brand new and is made to look like a 427 with the valve covers and air cleaner unit ?? The other thing is I know you'll make adjustments all around the car as you'll drive it more this point on, would you please jack up the rear of the car about 2" to give it a slight rake cuz it looks like a 50s taildragging custom😝 and would eliminate the driveshaft from hitting the floorboards over big bumps. Its a big car and it really looks way too low in the rear as I see you driving down the road in the video otherwise its a rad ride, I love it! Again, congrats!!!
@maxwellthemalinois39962 жыл бұрын
I'd love to just see it all primered, I dig old cars that are primered as that's a basic look but it makes the OCD happy and it's not as precious as a full paint job. *looks at my car with paint chipping off the ratty hood* yeah, primer is needed
@Thecraig9092 жыл бұрын
I think i'm going to high build Urethane primer the whole car so I don't go insane with the mix matched panels.

@@Thecraig909 I relate. I rattle can primered my 73 Bonneville and it bothers me that the reas of the car is white and gas rust. I need to find more car people to hang out.
