Hello, this video will show you how to change the key battery on a 2019 onwards new style Audi smart key. This is very simple to do and you will need a new CR2032 key battery and a small screwdriver.

How to reset the car though? Because even after changing the battery of the key fob to my AUDI Q8 2019, the car still has this annoying alarm when I start the car. Thanks

That's odd, do the buttons work on the key?

I am also experiencing the same problem. I have an Audi A6 with a 2018 registration. After changing the battery of my smart key, I can no longer unlock or lock my car with the remote. I have to manually open the car with the key, but then I am unable to start it. I see this message on the instrument cluster: Hold back the key against the marked area. Anyone have a solution?

is there any manual how to disassembly this key?
@TheCarKeyMan2 жыл бұрын
Hi, not sure to be honest, I expect it's glued together

@@TheCarKeyMan Hi, It is “glued” together, no easy option to open, not nice way to close after that.

If that's not a haematoma under your left thumbnail (ie caused by a trauma to the nail) then you should get it seen by a doctor to exclude melanoma.

Thanks Fiona, lots of nail damage I'm afraid in my job
