Originally we were supposed to service this but the customer asked us just to check the engine and head gasket before we service it
Customer complaints of lack of power steam coming out the exhaust and loss of water
In this video we show you how to change the rear differential oil and the front gearbox oil make sure you get the correct oil for your car this is very important as you can do serious damage if you put the wrong oil in

I always take the filler plug out first as if you drain it and find you cannot refill it it becomes a bad day

Ah cool I just got one of them lidl pumps a while back. Was gonna use it for sucking out the crankcase through the dipstick but it's nice to see you can use it for gear lube as well.

Great video, wish I’d found it before doing mine, went ok but would have been handy. Also changed wheel bearing, sod of a job and front/rear coil springs etc equally 🤬😤🤬 then one of the abs sensors went (very grumble) sod to get out, now the front exhaust flexi has gone - I’ve given in on that going to a garage don’t fancy it without a lift. But I did get my hands dirty, I think Sean should have another chance at an oil bath soon 🤣

:os if you still had the car there i would have loved to know how to change the rear wheel abs speed sensor on it. I got the part to change on mine, but i couldnt even see the part on the rear drivers side wheel

What is the type of the oils you are using? I think you said sae 75-90 for rear differential but i missed the gearbox...

Hi mate the easiest and the best thing to do is contact your local Audi dealer and get them to send you the correct oil as different models different engines size take different oils

I wouldn't bank on it, I know it's not in the draft of the new test manual, but as it's only a draft I suspect when it comes into force in May "not fitted in accordance with the manufacturers instructions" will be there! It's ludicrous to omit it as a directional tyre wrong way round in the wet has very little grip. Mind you removing the "bounce test" for shockers is ridiculous. Slight mist of oil this year = no oil next year.
