Demons can't be "fought" when they aren't of your own creation. Not always. Sometimes they're external people whom hold some sort of something over your head. It's the pressure people cave under - and if they don't, they're crushed by it if some external force is bearing down on them.
@godhacks3835 ай бұрын
Sometimes, just sometimes all that pressure exerted on you turns your carbon form into a diamond. And that’s what this man did. With this song, especially. Diamond is one of the sharpest hardest substances on earth created from great pressure. And this song cuts right to the heart and moves. The soul urges the soul it stirs the soul. I was 20 in 1990 and I am 52 today. At the time I wasn’t interested in this music except in general passing. Today though. Today I heard this song on the radio and could not breathe. Could not take one more breath had to pull off the road and listen to it over and over because it was calling my name, stirring something amazing in me vibrant and alive. Thank you Chris thank you for sharing your diamond heart with all of us.

Dan Hobbs... He loved those kids. I hope you never find yourself in a situation where you temporarily don't have a hold of your mental faculties. Because if you do, and your mind tells you you have to escape, like his did that night, people will sit around and judge you just like you're doing to him. I won't, though, because I understand what it feels like. I always swore I would never leave my kids like that, and that suicide was only for the selfish. But that was before I got educated in a very real way when I had -- out of the blue -- no warning -- sudden suicidal ideations. For weeks. Never happened before. All of a sudden I was incapable of even thinking of how it would crush them. My thoughts went instead to which rafter in the basement would hold the rope the best. No shit. And it was terrifying. I only got through it because of my husband watching me constantly and my God coming through for me as well. Oh, and btw, it was Ativan that caused it in me. I have since quit it, and despite what it did to me, and what I believe it did to him, I still crave it most days. He was not in his right mind that night and while I'm only speculating, I think Chris would absolutely take it back if he could. Best wishes to you. Same here and I’ve watched it and like a stone and other Audioslave songs and this guy might have been the best singer/songwriter ever ......that goes to show you even some people who are a genius still have demons and every day it takes effort just to start the day you sometime feel like you are suffocating from anxiety, depression, addiction, whatever. Trust me I get the music and I have been all of thee above. We lost a great one when he passed and if there is a heaven he got his wish. RIP Mr. Cornell

I dont even know what to write. Chris Cornell spoke for so many of us going through issues with mental health or self confidence. He was an advocate for the weak and misguided. He inspired so many of us to reach out and explore the possibilities of our dreams and wishes. To be better humans than we though we were capable of being. I for one will always have his music and message be a part of my life and my sons life. Im just upset that he could not beat his own demons or didnt have that person in his life that gave him the same inspiration. RIP Chris Cornell you are Legend. Brother we love you and your Ohana.
