I feel that on being the artist on vacation with others. The last vacation I went on i brought my sketch book and felt so so rude for working in it when everyone was wanting to go to places. A retreat would be absolutely amazing! I would be happy just to hang out with other artists who want to adventure and get creative. 😊

Oh damn I am Lopi's twin! I literally injured my shoulder a few years back because I thought I could easily do a cool roll I had seen professional dancers do. Had I ever tried it before? No. Result - no roll, injured shoulder, had to do rehab exercises and icing for weeks. Learn from Lopi and I folks - rolls are not in-born they must be learned!

I did something like this called SQUAM art camps and it's interesting. It's for artists to go and try different mediums/etc but it was very expensive.

Watching you paint is so healing Audra, I've been struggling with depression since the start of my teens and I discovered your channel around that time, 2015 I think? hearing you talk about your life with Lopi is so soothing, especially right now, I wasn't feeling so great so thank you so much! talk about the retreat, it would be phenomenal to see you in france! i actually live in the south myself (a couple of hours south of toulouse) and i can confirm that it would be a great experience painting the scenery around here! funnily enough i am doing a watercolor painting of the river and trees right outside of my window while listening to this video. in any case, i love seeing this new content from you and i loved hearing your partner with you, makes for a really funny and enjoyable listen :) tons of love from france

Yes having a lot of things in your mind can be soo overwhelming. I don't have mental problems or issues, but you can also get overwhelmed with that. So a good thing what you can do is creating a To-Do-List. So you can get everything from your mind. And can focus on one thing at a time. I make my To-Do-List nice and pretty in my Bullet Journal. So it is kinda calming me down being creative and productive. And it feels so good to cross out something. In the morning of the day, I just choose 2 things that I will do. And sometimes I just do these two things and it is good. And sometimes I am so energetic I do one or two more and it makes me proud.

For real, I'd give a lot to go france and just draw in your company, that sounds like a literal dream come true haha I was already planning to go to france weeks before my country was locked down from covid so, that would be one hell of a way to improve on the original trip plan haha . Wouldn't have any expectations other than just being generally wowed to be somewhere else and making art (have never been overseas and haven't got artist friends). Anyway, would really, really like to hear more and possibly to try apply for it if you do go through with it and conditions across the world allow for it of course.

Also, just a thought but I'm going to share it anyway because I imagine if I feel that way and comment it there must be other people who just don't share their thoughts. Personally I wouldn't pay to come and take lessons from you. However I would prefer for it to be a cheaper retreat but one in which you just get to chill and draw with us. I have a lot of friends in art school who would come do that ans fill their Sketchbooks.
