+SniperSurvivor It's a good sight, but the AUG is very inaccurate with it equipped. It has the AK-74u's recoil profile while firing at 937.5 RPM, with a 1300 centerspeed (terrible). It'd be useful if it didn't provide such a bad accuracy and aim speed disadvantage.

Ah the nostalgia. Black ops is where I learned the existence of the AUG. It just appealed to me. Especially when I saw in in the mission where you play Hudson. When I unlocked it, I copied the loadout and camo from that mission. I used the crap out of it. That and the commando.

The Famas nerf's best attribute was bringing the AUG out of its shadow. Now with the AUG having very real handling advantages over the Famas, the AUG is the game's definitive close-quarters menace among the assault rifles. However, the AUG hasn't eclipsed the Famas by any means. Even with the Famas' accuracy being reduced, it is still quite a bit better than the AUG's, which has very shaky recoil when coupled with that high fire rate. I still favor the Famas despite the much worse handling attributes it has. The AUG's accuracy is simply that much of a turn off for me. However I can totally understand if people disagree with my Famas over AUG sentiment.

yes you do, you use the SPAS-12 in "The Defector", you use the WA2000 in the "Victor Charlie", and the AK74u in the "Crash Site", and the CZ75 in "Payback"

You actually need it, after 8 kills the ammo get kind of scarce, dual mags and sleight hand are more like a help to always be able to shoot large groups (shortest reload time possible). Try this setup, if you play on high sensitivity like I said, this will make easy to get at least 25/75 kills possible on a typical TDM. Aug is just that awesome.

i think you slightly exaggerated the recoil bit, but i suppose it is somewhat true; i did indeed have difficulty over long sight lines with the AUG, and it forced me to play more aggressively moving from cover to cover...if nothing else, this weapon is an excellent trainer in the way of playing the objective
