Nobel Price Consert is big, the 1100th century stone church/doom Nidarosdomen is big in acustic magic, but .. imagine going to a consert, and you have to take a hike deep into the woods to get there…. no roads, no stage, just moss, big pinetrees, and Aurora that «stage» was realy magical🧚🏼❤. The HAIK consert.

Excellent comentary .👍Do "5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Murder Song" (same venue). and "Through the Eyes of a Child" live at Nidarosdomen..(the last 5 words reflect back to "Take me home, I can't take it anymore")

17:06 I have a feeling the audience were more taken aback by Aurora's choice of also playing Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1) at this same Nobel Peace Prize Concert. I assume the majority sitting there had never heard it before and couldn't quite believe it. I hope you react to that one too.

Yay! Another Aurora reaction! Aurora quote "Life is better without shoes!" She spent a lot of her early years in the forest behind her home in Norway. She is very attuned to nature and I think going barefoot gives her a sense of grounding. Yes, she wrote this at 11 years old. She has said that the song's meaning has changed for her over the years. She calls it a message from "little Aurora" to "big Aurora". I'm glad your doing some of her earlier work - it's fascinating to see the growth and changes in her art. You may not like every song, but you can't deny the genius. I'd vote for you to see her perform "Murder Song 5,4,3,2,1" from the same concert - it will blow you away! Just remember that she is a storyteller. After that, I'd suggest "It happened Quiet" live at the Current. After that check out some songs from her Nidarosdomen Concert and the KRXP Concert. I'm so enjoying the way you guys are reacting to her work. I enjoy your interpretations of her lyrics - they mean something different to different people and what it says to you on first hearing is the message you're meant to get. Having said that, it's also interesting to check out what Aurora herself has to say about the songs she's written - it is usually very interesting and it gives you an insight into who she is.

Great reaction guys! This concert was her first really big one with 8000 people in the audience, with our king and queen, prime minister, the piece prize winner and many more celebs. Plus it was streamed live to an estimated 100 millions TV viewers, no wonder she was quite nervous, and still she performed soo good. Jay Leno hosted the concert which also had Aha performing 5 songs and Kygo (also from Bergen as Aurora is) plus and 8 more artists/groups.

"Runaway" written by Aurora when she was 11 years old!

I said it.....trapped in Aurora's rabbit hole. I like how you interpret the lyrics from Runaway. One of Aurora's gifts is that she manages to write songs that each individual can find the solution in the lyrics that helps them solve a problem they may have been struggling with for a long time. And that, along with a beautiful soul, makes so many fans love her. You are only at the beginning of your journey, but you have already found out what a fantastic song writer she is. At the Kexp concert in Iceland (can be found here on YT) she said "I take of my shoes, live is much better without shoes" and I think she has done that from the start of her career and in my opinion is a sign of how grounded she is. You will also find out that many of her texts are connected to sad stories that she has heard or read about and that some believe are ones that she herself has experienced, but which just reflect how much she is able to process other people's pain and translate it into music and lyrics. But you find out all that yourself as you continue the journey through Aurora's world. We follow...

So glad you liked this. After reacting to the first two which are sort of a style change from her older work, I was afraid you might not. This is what I refer to as "classic" Aurora. The pacing and phrasing is much different. She has so many beautiful songs and styles. You mentioned poetic and hit it on the head. Her lyrics are always profound and open to interpretation. Saw her live yrs back, what a treat! Try "Murder Song 54321" same venue.

This was a really great reaction you guys👍 Yes she was 11 when she wrote this🤯 Aurora says life is better without shoes, and she likes to stand on her tippy toes while singing. She was very nervous at this concert, her first time performing for such a big audience❤️ I recommend the next song at this concert “Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1)” Her band is amazing🥰

Subbing for more Aurora! ❤ This was one of the first times she performed for a crowd this large and she's so small and terrified. It didn't affect her performance, though. It's still perfection. It's so interesting to see how she was back then, compared to how she is now when performing. She really learned how to harness that nervous energy and turn it into something so beautiful. Her confidence in herself is so admirable (and warranted). Aurora often performs barefoot, like one of her biggest influences, Bjork. Bjork often performs barefoot as well.

Her most popular performance of her most popular song. I believe this is your first reaction to a live performance of hers, so it's a great place to start. She did a video for Genius on KZbin, where she breaks down the lyrics, line by line, that is very interesting, if you want to dive deeper into the meaning. BTW, Angelina Jordan was 9 years old when this was recorded, so I don't think she was pulling an Angelina Jordan by going barefoot. 🦶😏🦶

Thank you for that information. We will Definitely check that out. Angelina actually started performing barefoot at 6 years old. Not that it makes a difference anyways. They are both Amazing and also Angelina has an inspiring story behind her performing barefoot.

Aurora is not religious, she is spiritual though, I believe. This song, from the best of my recollection, it is dealing with grief. She is definitely a lyrical genius, and she is about 10 years older then AJ, so pretty sure she has been going barefoot longer and I think her reason is for feeling grounded to earth, which is the reason many artist go barefoot. Her clothes are original, either repurposed from thrift stores or designed from scratch by her and her clothing designer sister.

I love her style. She is very grounded and very REAL. That’s so cool that she puts her clothing together herself. I would say Religion is a spiritual belief. Also Angelina has been performing barefoot since 6 years old. She has an inspiring story behind performing barefoot. Aurora as well though. It fits her personality for sure. She seems to me as a very aware and true to herself type of Artist and I absolutely adore that about her. Thank you for sharing that. - KB

The hourglass: pls check out Aurora's 'A Temporary High' video! Edit: That was a mid-video comment before I forgot it. I liked your reaction and the way you two work together in reaction videos. About A Temporary High and her newer songs: maybe it's best to react to the older songs first. Dunno. Other W&Ws have always great suggestions.

Her Norwegian accent when she sings, "Now take me home, home where I belong, now, now." Seems to get written on lyric sites as No, No. Due to our American ears😊 But if you hear the first Now she sings, it sounds like No too, because of her accent.

Is it a crime to interpret the song in your own individual way? I do not doubt that she meant it that way. But different individuals from different walks of life should be able to interpret the song in their own Unique way. - KB

Yes, Aurora leaves her songs open to interpretation. That's the great thing about ART, it can be viewed or listened to by many people and those people may have differing opinions as to the meaning of the piece.

@@MyCatalog23 Actually, Aurora said that she didn't fully understand the song after she had written it and that it has made more and more sense to her as she has grown older. She often describes it as a gift from young Aurora to "old" Aurora. So, to answer your question: Yes, it's a crime to interpret the song individually, if you can't predict what the writer will feel about the song 10 years later, you shouldn't listen to it 😜😜

@@i_am_m3384 offended? No. Just surprised that you judge people’s interpretation of a beautiful song on a first time listen of an Artist they know nothing about. This is the third song we listened of her so far. We know nothing about her or how she feels about the song. We were told when we stumbled upon her that we are in a better world now. But considering your energy in your initial comment. It feels like we have no right to listen or state an opinion on her song. She said herself that she did not understand for 10 years what she wrote. How could anybody figure out exactly what the song is on a first time listen? But either way. If she commented on it personally like you and said those words. I would simply take down all the 3 videos we reacted to. But since she did not…… you gone have to deal with it lol. Much Love though. No offense.
