Her full name is Aurora Aksnes and she is from Norway, and she was 21 here and is 27 now. She is the one doing The Voice in the Disney movie Frozen II calling Elsa Into The Unknown. She writes all her music and lyrics, and she is currently working on her 4th album and also has 2 EPs released. Nice reaction This is one of her most important songs Fun fact: It was played in the series “The 100” Aurora (Aurora Aksnes) is a Norwegian singer/songwriter/dancer and music producer born on the 15 of June 1996, so she was 21 years old in this amazingly beautiful concert. She started writing music after finding an old electric piano in the attic at the age of 6, and she added lyrics (English) at the age of 9. She’s self taught when it comes to singing and playing piano, and her family didn’t know about her talent until she was about 14 years old. Her breakthrough song is “Runaway”, she wrote it when she was 11 years old, and it means a lot to her. This is the largest medieval cathedral in Northern Europe. Under it is the burial place of Olav the Holly, a Viking that attacked London, Canterbury, Normandie in France, Wessex (etc.) before converting to Christianity and returning to Norway to gather us into one nation before getting killed at the Battle of Stikklestad in 1030. The Cathedral took around 230 years to build and finished around 1300 AD. A pretty rock and roll venue, in other words. Aurora is fiercer and emotionally more unforgiving than Viking history though, when you dive into her. 100% real deal.

Nidarosdomen is the cathedral of Trondheim, Norway (Nidaros is the old name of Trondheim). The female backing vocals are done by Silja Sol, who is currently pursuing her career on her own. We don't see her enough in this concert, but obviously there are much going on to film. This whole concert is a masterpiece, at all levels. Dimash, has a very beautiful voice, but he is not an author/composer, he does not do real ballets, AURORA does all this at a level rarely achieved... and for covers of songs that are not of she appropriates the song, the music, the lyrics, improves - or not - the whole and this gives a better interpretation than the creator (only Leonard Cohen can compare to her on his songs). I discovered the Norwegian with "Teardrop" by Massive Attack... it's the best version of all! “life on Mars” “s’across the universe” “Nature boy” which she sings in this same concert and also in a cappella are the best of all.

@@memoiredutemps5763 I don't know why you feel the need to say that about Dimash, but he writes songs, he is an author/composer too and his covers (that he rarely do now) have his own style and sound nothing like the original. I don't understand people who can't love something without despising everything else. I don't think you have listened more than a couple covers of Dimash. As I said, I know them both, I've seen them both live and I love them both. Oh, and I don't know what do you mean about he don't writing "ballets". Ballets? Just listen to some of the last songs from him: Story of one sky(composed by Dimash), Omir (lyrics and music by him), Dudarai (folk song arranged by him)... it's a long long list. He has a master's degree in composition, fgs!!

@@susannariera It's true, I only admired his voice and his interpretation of a song, shared it...I will listen to other things again... I had never heard the name AURORA then. We are not going to compare their respective talents. AURORA is simply something else, it's not just a voice or her compositions, she never wanted this career as a singer, but producers convinced her that only she could do it. She is always different, listening to her is not enough, you have to see her (tens of thousands of videos exist on KZbin), hear her when she speaks, read her (she will release a book in November) and no doubt other things in the future. She has never been promoted by anyone, was already known before even discovering it for herself... She is committed, everything about her is, she can shock (censorship of some of her videos for example, her second album was only released on MP3 except in Japan...did you know?).

@@memoiredutemps5763 I know all of this about Aurora, as I said, I saw her live last year, it was an amazing concert. But this is not a contest, there's room for more than one talented people ( good for us, more to enjoy!). Dimash is also an independent artist, he doesn't want to sign with any label because he wants to keep his freedom, try new things, stay to his values (he quit from an American show because they wanted him to compete against children). Story of one sky is a song about peace, he work for three years on the music and the script for the MV (that he wrote) and put a lot of his money (its produced by his own label, Dimashali) to spread the message of peace no matter our colour, religion, etc. He has two degrees, a master, working on his PH, plays 7 instruments...he is not just a beautiful voice doing covers. Check out some of his work (writen by him or for him): Stranger, War and Peace, Ave Maria (not Schubert's, one writen specially for his voice), Omir, The story of one sky....and yes, I'm a huge fan of Leonard Cohen too,he deserved the Nobel Prize much more than Dylan, in my opinion. (English is my third language, so, sorry for any mistake or misspelling).

I listened to several songs by Dimash that I knew for "SOS d'un Terrien ordinaire g", he has a voice that goes even further than Klaus Nomi, a German singer best known for being the first personality to die of AIDS, but before he impressed with his ability to blend high-pitched vocals with pop music. "The Story of One Sky" impressed me and I will share on my Facebook and maybe on my KZbin channel... the message is clear but the video at the beginning is long. If these singers (don't forget the French singer Daniel Balavoi, creator of the song who revealed Dimah, also endowed with a wide voice) have extraordinary voices, AURORA is not just a voice. And besides, no one has ever measured the Norwegian's voice ;), she doesn't care about these comparisons, she never wanted to be a singer and says: “I do what I want, I don’t listen to advice and I don’t care about criticism.” She is above all an author & composer (more than 1000 songs), writing for her fans, her warriors and her weirdos. And then she dances and creates ballets like “A Touch Of The Divin”. Like a French singer, Jacques Brel, just as emotional and atypical (but a little less talented), she will one day stop her concerts, continue to write/compose and do something other than music... perhaps revolutionize music like Stravinky a century ago, who knows?

I agree. For those who loves Aurora and knows her story, it’s sad to see others think the worst. Her erratic movements during singing is cause she’s so into her music. You guys should see her other live videos, this is nothing compared to some of them. Note she also has a “disorder” but her parents didn’t want to put a label on it, so they never tested her. As long as she was a happy child and all that.. 😅 But I kind of think that’s part of her charm.

It’s interesting watching them being so clueless about who and what they are hearing and not listening as they should; is this suppose to be a critique? I’d expect a bit more respect for the artist.
